To ask if other children's entertainers are this awful?

Just took the kids to a Halloween party and a local pub, and there’s was a children’s entertainer on. I’ve not seen many before but my god he was awful. The Roy Chubby Brown of children’s entertainers.

I get that it caters to childish humour but he asked every 45 seconds “who’s better, boys or girls?” and then would ‘jokingly’ make a balloon flower and give it to a boy, only to snatch away last second and say ‘don’t be daft, you’re not a girl’. He also said “girls are great aren’t they! That is, until they turn into mothers and everything goes south” hmm He also made a balloon animal ‘motorboat’ one Mum, and kept shoving his horrible arse in kids’ faces pretending to fart.

He also told my DD her dancing was rubbish. She’s 4 and very sensitive, she does dance classes and did one today where she got ‘dancer of the week’ and was upset that the man said she was rubbish after getting her certificate 🙄 obviously I don’t expect the entertainer to know that but do they really have to result to insulting 4 year olds to get a ‘laugh’?

We left half way through. Am I being PFB? I’m actually thinking of emailing the pub to say how inappropriate he was.

No they're not but a children's entertainer at a pub party is going to be shit isn't it? The ones you use for birthday parties are probably too expensive for them

He sounds very bloody strange indeed. I'd tell the pub.

Sounds bloody awful! What a twat. Your poor dd. Yes, email the pub. Tell them you're giving them the opportunity to respond before reviewing on social media.

Yes, a pub entertainer probably IS going to be shit, but there's shit, and then there's relentless sexism and humiliating a 4 year old.

That sounds terrible. I've never come across any that bad.

No totally inappropriate. What an arse hole.

God that's awful, no we had an excellent one who did circus skills for my DDs birthday and another who did disco parties.

He's a sexist, inappropriate arse and you ought to tell the pub and then find him on Google and leave a stinking review to warn others!

Holy crap how horrific! Def tell the pub.
There’s fart jokes and then there’s shoving your arse in a child’s face. <shudder><barf> Not to mention the sexist crap.

How horrendous, sounds like something out of the seventies. I'd definitely email the pub in a measured type of way.

Ive unfortunately seen a few like this. Full of innuendo... I just leave. I've seen plenty of good ones too!
