Ok not a aibu but I need a quick answer and indont even know how to ask the question in Google.

I'm starting a new job end of the month. It's term time. I'll be paid weekly and I'm trying to work out what it'll be.

I'm doing 28 hours a week at 10 a hour. 4 weeks holiday. It's spread through out the year so will have a wage each week.

42 week spread over 52?

Please help and I'll over cakebrewwine as a thank you x

There’s an app called uk tax calculator i think... might help you work out what figures you’ll need?

28 hrs PW @ £10 per hour term plus 4 is 42 weeks .

So 28 x10 x 42 divide by 52

= £ 226.16 per week , annual salary of £11760 - so tax and NI will be pennies - but you will have to contribute to a pension scheme

28x10 = 280
280x42=11760
11760/52=226.15

So £226.15pw

£10 × 28hours x 42 working weeks ÷ 52 paid weeks = average gross weekly wage

Tax is 20% between £11501 and 45K

So 11760 - 11501 = £259 per annum taxable income @ 20% is £51.80 per annum actual tax bill, divided by 52 weeks = 99 pence per week! no idea about NI though.

Just something else to consider.. if you are contracted to work teacher training days it will be 39 weeks with 4 weeks holiday so total of 43 weeks a year.
