It doesn't need to be anything earth-shattering, just something positive!

I'll start us off: I did what I've been meaning to do for five years and made a calendar of my cat! She's so photogenic so it was quite easy.

Your turn!

I picked the apples off the tree and my DW and I cut them up and they are now cooked ready to be frozen.

I had lunch with my old housemate from uni. We live in different parts of the country so difficult to get together, but it was so lovely to see her!

Really odd but I woke up in a bad mood. I went outside for my morning ciggerette and was sitting in the shade, looking at AIBU and newspapers. I noticed the sun came out between the trees and I put my phone down stood in the light and closed my eyes and all of a sudden I felt so much better. Everything seemed more bright and cheerful. And I have had a plesent day since then!

I met up with my friends for coffee & one friend's child decided to chat to me which was really sweet as I don't get to interact much with children.

Also got a free Clinique lipstick on my Boots points!

My son's swimming teacher said he had worked hard, grown in confidence, was doing well and moving up to the next stage, he said I should be really proud of him.

I went to see my Dad who had been very poorly and we had a lovely day shopping gossiping and fussing over his wee dog. And he told me he loves me. I feel very special Smile

I went for a walk in the sunshine with my youngest and we petted(?) FOUR dogs along the way.

My day has been absolutely jam packed and I’m physically and mentally very tired. But not a single tantrum from any of the DC, and we’ve all had hours and hours of exercise and fresh air.

My quiet, shy DD played so nicely in the park with two girls that she used to avoid in nursery as they are much more outgoing, and she was so happy. It made my day

We have been eating beige oven food for weeks due to my depression taking a hold.

Today I cooked a delicious healthy dinner from scratch.

The sun has been shining (on me watching football, on dd and ds on camp, and on dh on a climbing course). All good Smile

I came down with gastroenteritis over night and today my husband has sorted out everything for our DS, taken him swimming and out to the shops for lucozade etc so that I can sleep. Not groundbreaking, but really whole heartedly appreciated.

We're about to be homeless [LL selling]. DS Xmas list reads 'I hope mummy and daddy find us somewhere nice to live in the new year'.

I realise that I've failed at life by renting in my 40s (as other smug threads on MN today have shown) but bloody hell I've raised a son who is so thoughtful and caring.

So I'm grateful for that, and that I have a roof over my head (tonight) and my children are fed.

A few positive things there Smile

I had my hair cut and booked in to have highlights in a few weeks time. DS got his Beavers uniform and we did a language app we haven't done for ages but he remembered a lot.
And we made a cake.

Went out for lunch at a country park with my daughter, my dad and his partner- made extra special as the sun was shining on us.
