If I buy my daughter only one present for her birthday?

Her birthday is in November and She is going to be 4. My other DDs' birthday is in December and then obviously they will get things for Christmas.

I just feel like the house will be overrun with toys for the next couple of months so I'd like to limit to one toy/thing for birthday from us but they will also get presents from family too.

I have spent £50 on the gift from us.

When I was younger, one present was normal! And I'm not even that old

Not at all unreasonable.

When I was a child I got just one or two presents for my birthday from my parents. Often my grandma would get another for me, but that would be it.

I am the same with my own children and always have been.

They get more at Christmas.
