To think you don't leave water on the floor?!

I've just woken up and needed the loo. We're away at the moment so need to walk across a tiled floor to get to the bathroom. Got halfway across the apartment and slipped on a pool of water and fell over. Just above the pool of water on the shelf is a mostly empty bottle. Woke a drunk DP up and he denied all knowledge and said "the bottle must be empty because we drank it." So I said umm yes okay so how did it end up on the floor? And he just kept repeating himself. He's drunk and totally out of it.

Who the fuck leaves water on the floor?! AIBU to think that's not normal and to be so pissed off with him?
