AIBU?

To make Nando's my holiday breakfast

Going away next week and have the choice between two airlines, and one flies from a terminal that has Nando's. I want to choose this terminal so that I can have Nando's, but the thing is I'm flying at 6.45. Wibu to have Nando's for breakfast around 4am?! I know they do breakfast, but I'm taking actual Nando's i.e. Chips, beanie burger, refill coke etc.

I don't want to look weird, but then again having a Nando's before I fly just seems really exciting (I don't get out much!).

If that's what you want, go for it! But before you book, check that it will actually be open at 4am. Not all of the restaurants are.

If people can drink alcohol at 9am 'because we're at the airport', I don't see why a 4am Nando's needs to be justified! Do it, enjoy it.

Will they only be serving the Nando's breakfast menu (off to Google Nando's breakfast as had no idea this was a thing)

We did breakfast at Nandos in Gatwick, but I think it was only a breakfast menu.

I would totally do this, YADNBU.

Chips and a beanie burger? That's not a Nando's anyway!

Oh no, I just assumed they'd do the normal menu all at at an airport Shock oh dear, best check.

I'd go for a Chiquitos brekkie if you can get one. Huevos rancheros and cocktails, bloody brilliant.

Don’t think of it as 4am in the morning, just think of it as 4am at the end of a night out!!!

Huevos rancheros - yes!

We looked into this when we went away but in the end we were delayed getting to the airport so didn't have time for a sit down breakfast and had to grab something quickly from Starbucks. Sad

Don't do it - Nandos use battery chickens. It's cruel and they need to stop (I say that as a meat eater!)

Knock yourself out. Normal rules don't apply at airports, have a beer too.

They serve breakfast until 11am. Open from 4am though.

Also nandos don't use battery hens. They are barn hens. They cannot use free range as they cannot reliably source enough.

Oh no shame about the breakfast, I don't like typical breakfast foods so it's a no for me then :( really wanted chips etc.

smarshian - fair enough, but I wouldn't be able to bring myself to eat barn hens either, they are too close to battery hens for my taste!

If you can't have a Nandos breakfast on holiday, it's a sad world. Just do it. Sounds great!

What a crock of shite. Of course they could- they don't want to because it's cheaper to use barn eggs. No ta.

implies you can get proper nando for breakfast not just breakfast menu!

The staff wouldn’t think you’re weird for an early Nando’s. They probably have jetlagged passengers from different time zones, who feel like 4am GMT is lunch/dinner time Smile you’re at an airport, it’s fine!

Stormybubbles you're right, it does imply the main menu is seved all day - thank you!! Grin
