They are nice but can hear them chatting loudly in lounge. Two siblings and flatmate's dad. They are sleeping on sofa. Cheeky or no?

Crunchymum Sat 07-Oct-17 23:17:42

How big is your sofa? shock

tigerdriverII Sat 07-Oct-17 23:17:50

Oh go to sleep and stop moaning.

FenceSitter01 Sat 07-Oct-17 23:18:50

Sounds like an orgy

Notcontent Sat 07-Oct-17 23:20:30

Sounds annoying. Did she ask you first? I would go and ask them to keep the noise down.

Pancakeflipper Sat 07-Oct-17 23:20:49

How long are they staying there? If it's just a weekend visit then YABU.

Joinourclub Sat 07-Oct-17 23:22:28

If it's just one or two nights then no problem. Any longer is cheeky. Did they not ask?

Babymamamama Sat 07-Oct-17 23:25:39

I'm sure they will be gone soon? At some point you may want to have someone staying over so in your shoes I would put in the earplugs and ignore. Life's too short right?

DorisDangleberry Sat 07-Oct-17 23:27:54

Clearly they are not sleeping if you can here them chatting. Not sure we are getting the full story

Suggest you burst in wearing just bra and knickers and fart loudly. That will put them in their place

HeddaGarbled Sat 07-Oct-17 23:28:31

A bit of chatting before 11.30 on a Saturday night isn't cheeky IMO. If you need to get up early for work tomorrow, it's OK to politely ask them to be quiet.

DonkeyOaty Sat 07-Oct-17 23:28:45

this is your sofa isn't it?

Nochecita Sat 07-Oct-17 23:29:20

They are sleeping here tonight and tomorrow. But currently chatting. That is the full story, sound ok?

Perhaps I am being unreasonable. I have no problem with them being here but would just like to use my lounge on weekends too blush

Nochecita Sat 07-Oct-17 23:29:53

The very same Donkey!!

AtHomeDadGlos Sat 07-Oct-17 23:30:13

Go out to the pub. It’s Saturday night!

stripysleeves Sat 07-Oct-17 23:30:49

Every weekend? YANBU.

Occasional visit? YABU. Go to sleep!

stripysleeves Sat 07-Oct-17 23:31:03

Yes, or the pub!

FeelingAggrieved Sat 07-Oct-17 23:34:10

Did they tell you in advance?

Ellendegeneres Sat 07-Oct-17 23:35:22

This is why I couldn't live with anyone else. Noise at night pisses me off. I can't sleep.
My kid likes a light on at night to see his way to my bed- light is off, I sleep in the dark. My house, my rules!

redsquirrel2 Sat 07-Oct-17 23:38:58

YABU. She's entitled to have her family round. It's not for long. Maybe try and get to know them and have fun? At least loosen up, is it really affecting you that much?

RavenLG Sat 07-Oct-17 23:40:30

Did your flat mate inform you they would be staying? Do they stay every weekend? If yes and no respectively YABVVU and need to get a life to be honest. It's their flat and they are allowed guests.

CatcherCan Sat 07-Oct-17 23:44:00

It'd be polite of her to tell you they were coming. But you are being a bit princessy - your flatmate surely pays halves for the sofa, and you can't expect her never to have people round?

teaandtoast Sat 07-Oct-17 23:58:23

Who pulled your tail, tiger? confused

Nochecita Sun 08-Oct-17 00:32:10
