Supposed to go on a date with internet dating guy but he was flaky. He asked me if I was free the day after, I wasn't and told him that but said maybe the week after could work. A week later he messages me out of the blue on fri night asking what I was up to that night. This was yesterday, I had plans and still haven't replied. My friends are telling me to ignore but i want the last word! Any advice??

The last word?

Ignore. It seems like he wants a quick 'hook up'. Avoid as he doesn't seem to want to arrange a date and actually meet you.

I know fuck all about ODL, but would interpret ringing you up on spec like that as a way of testing availability - literally - you'll always be ready when he is. I would always "have plans".

Speaking from experience this is very common in internet dating. Ignore, don't wast your time.

Waste

life is too short to play games

I was about to say exactly that. I have no idea why you'd waste the time and energy, what do you stand to gain from having the last word? It sounds a bit like you're emotionally invested already OP, I would advise you to forget about him and move on unless you are happy with casual sex and nothing more. That seems to be what he's after and I think you'll get hurt if you pursue anything.

He has a partner/wife already and is only looking to meet up “when the coast is clear”. Fiver on it.

Just send him a photo of a Greggs pasty (ie the height of flakiness) and caption it

'Saw this and thought of you'

And then never reply to him again no matter what he texts!

It will drive him nuts, give you a laugh and isn't mean.

Just ignore him or tell him you aren't interested. Job done.

Normal - perhaps sweaty, cheesy and generally left on the shelf Grin
