For the love of anything please distract me. I’m in bastard agony post op having had ruptured sphincter repair. Just had second round of morphine and waiting for it to kick in but tbh the last one just about took the edge off.

Ward nurses lovely, nowt to report on other patients. New person arrived today post op. Had lovely visit from DH, DS, DSIS and DBil, no mean feat as I’m 40 miles away.

Was it a sphincter plasty? I had that done a couple of years ago. I hope you recover well. The pain will be better tomorrow

Gosh that sounds painful hope this lot of morphine helps. There is a lovely thread about rescue animals on AIBU if you are looking for something to distract you. It got me through most of a long feed with DS. Now to get him to go back to sleep!

Talking of dreams, yesterday morning I woke up having just had a vivid dream that I had been sent a £260 voucher (which seems like a strangely specific amount!) for a really nice hotel that I know.

Can't tell you how crushing it was to wake up and discover that it was only a dream.

Nothing even comparing to yourself, but started iron tablets today, so awake with awful gut cramps. Think they're going now, forgot how much I hate taking these things. Might put on some old radio programmes on YouTube....

Ok so it starts of with 'the man' taking a bunch of children hostage, it was sort of a bank that turned into a primary school.

Not a great start and my dreams must be warped but anyway.

'The man' manages to exchange the child hostages for a female cop/FBI agent. (this was not clear because this was happening in the UK)

It turns out that 'The man' has a elfish tattoo on his chest, just at the bottom of his rib cage that is actually numbers.

The cop/agent also has a similar tattoo and so does her sister, how this is established I'm not quite sure.

Things then shift to a ladies toilet! In the way that dreams jump places, 'The man' hides in the cubicle while cop/agent meets sister. There is a lot of money in coins in the cubicle - no idea of relevance to dream or otherwise.

For some reason 'The man' breaks the cop's watch strap and gives half to sister who is really angry and upset because it has some sentimental value but this means she now trusts 'The man who isn't a bad guy even though he took 2 classes of children and their teacher hostage at gunpoint in their bank/school.'
