I wish I had those sort of problems. So what she's shit at parking, I doubt it has any impact whatsoever on your life.

Hopefully you know that YABU to slash the tyres. Usually parking like that is inconsiderate to others but at least in those kind of spaces, it doesn't get in the way of anybody else parking or opening their doors. If it is a space for use with children only and she didn't have any, I understand your annoyance and yes, it is selfish. Can you go into the shop she is in and speak to security to ask them to ask her over the tannoy to move her car?

Are you joking?
It's not the worst parking I've ever seen, they have left enough space at each side even though it's a bit wonky.
I don't really get the hysteria over other folks parking in public places though unless they are causing an obstruction or something.
So I think YABU actually.

Simple solution. Customer services and tannoyed to move her car.

Curious to how it's affected you or whether you just really loathe shite parking

TBH it's parked (badly) in a disabled space and I'm pretty sure there's a disabled badge on there, so I wouldn't go slash the tyres Hmm

Report
Scribblegirl · 13/09/2017 18:10

Sorry, missed your point about it being a child space (really? It's next to disabled bays..) but point about the blue badge still stands.

Report
Birdsgottafly · 13/09/2017 18:10

So there are at least two empty car spaces behind her?

Always remember that someone who is disabled has the right to park in P&C.

They are shit at parking. They also might have been in a hurry for the toilet. The two combined results them leaving the car in that position.

why does it matter? It is crap parking, but not bothering anyone at all.

She might have a bad day, be unwell and did park in a safe parking place because it wasn't the day for tight maneuvers, who knows.

I would have just told her that she forgot the kid in the back when she left the car for the fun of it, but it's not the end of the world.

*that is a parent and child space, isn't it?
The disable spaces being behind.

Firstly - I think Scibblegirl is right, I'm sure I can see a disabled badge on the dashboard.

Secondly - there are loads of empty spaces - how is this affecting you in any way?

X post with Scribble, I hadn't noticed the Blue Badge.

There's a blue badge there, so maybe it is hard for the person to walk far? The parking's not great but it's not blocking anyone. I don't understand why you are so enraged by this!

Obviously YABU with the slashing of tyres, but I'll assume that was tongue in cheek.

They're shit at parking. Could be for any number of reasons.

Deal with it. Have you never parked less than perfectly? Jesus I have a Class 1 licence and make an error now and again.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 13/09/2017 18:15

Yep there is a blue badge in the car.

They are therefore entitled to park there.

You are way OTT

Yeah there's quite clearly a disabled badge on the dash, don't be such a twat Hmm

"I would have just told her that she forgot the kid in the back when she left the car for the fun of it, "

It's loads of fun, just trying to get out and about and be left alone, to do so, as a disabled person.

It's even worse if you've gotten fat as a result of your disability and woe betide you if it means you've slowed down.

Come on, the carpark is hardly short of spaces, she isn't actually inconveniencing anyone.

Report
FuzzyOwl · 13/09/2017 18:24

Is it definitely a space to park in with children rather than disabled?

Have a blue badge does not give you the right to park in a parent and child space, unless the car park owners make an exception.

I thought it was someone in a parent/ child bay, I can't see a disabled badge in the car, but I might be missing something, the photo is showing quite small on my phone?

There is a badge in the bottom corner of the passenger's side of the windscreen.

Report
allegretto · 13/09/2017 18:31

There's nothing wrong with the parking.

Report
GrumpyOldBag · 13/09/2017 18:35

it's not that badly parked - it's not preventing anyone else from parking in another space, which is what usually irritates me.
