Can an employer make me work night shift?

Hi Everyone, First of all, for those who saw my last posts, I just want to thank you all for your very nice replies and advice. I know that Facebook is doing me no good, and have made it my number one priority to try and organise some societies/engagement for when I return to Uni so that I can look to the future, rather than being reminded of the past through Facebook. Thank you all so much for your responses to my post about Facebook friends. I have just over six weeks before I start Uni again. As I have now just handed in my last essays, I thought that it would be a good idea to see if I could get a job for those six weeks, as I couldn't bare having nothing to do whatsoever, and am worried about money. Today I had an induction at a very large warehouse for a national retailer. It looked quite a scary environment at first - very big, but realistically it is the only place locally that could take me on in such quick time, and that I won't need to undergo so much training for the job. Despite my nerves, I got through the induction well. The job is working for a national store, but I would be actually working for an agency. I'll really take anything, as I am so concerned about money for when I return to Uni, and this would allow me to at least accumulate a small amount of savings before I return. Everything was going well until I was leaving, and was informed that I would start on Friday, and this would be on night shifts for five consecutive nights. Now, I know that there are many others who successfully work night shifts, however, personally for me, this might be very difficult. As I sort of mentioned before - I have Aspergers, and can suffer from a substantial degree of anxiety surrounding this. Just taking this job on is an achievement for me, given all the machines that I will need to learn (my line manager did say that she would try and get me onto the quieter Returns department). The job is about 6 miles away, and I can't drive yet, so I will have to get a bus or ask my mum to pick me up really early in the morning if I could do it. Realistically though, i'll probably be waiting two hour for the first bus that comes at 8am. At the moment, I intend to push myself to start on Friday night, but secretly I am dreading it and know that I will find night shifts so tough. I was asked to fill in a medical questionnaire today when inducting, and I mistakingly omitted writing about my Aspergers on it. Would it be worth mentioning my Aspergers to my line manager? On one hand, I am so worried to do so, as it is an agency job after all, so I worry that because this brings me little rights, I worry that I will just be terminated if they see me as too complicated/in need of adjustments. On the other, if I could work the 1400-2200 shift, I feel that I would be much happier. I am taking this job on as I am worried about the financial side of uni. The ~£1,000 savings I could make in the next six weeks by working would allow me to have a fund in case of emergencies/enjoy it a bit more. However, I also have a lot of academic concerns too. If I work night shifts full-time, I will be so tired during the day that I will have no time to address my academic concerns, risking falling behind. I am just so nervous about starting night shifts on Friday. Please could you advise me?
