To ask what your plane outfit is?

Flying to Dubai from Manchester in November.

So it's going to be freezing here, red hot on landing. Also going straight to a "posh" hotel from airport.

I'm getting rather anxious about this (I do have anxiety) and it's getting worse by the day! Ridiculous and first world problem, I know!)

What would you wear??

Something cotton and loose fitting. With a cardigan that will fit into hand luggage on the flight. Maybe a maxi dress? Long to cover you up but still breezy and not tight fitting so comfortable for flight.

Nice jeans, sandals, vest top and decent cardigan. You can take the cardigan off as soon as you land.

I did this flight in December! A380?

Skinny jeans, white Converse, white vest, a top that's hard to explain but pale pink/cotton/V-neck/batwing short sleeves open nearly to waist/very loose fit. The kind of top that can be dressy or casual. Plus my usual wrap because Brr on plane.

Remember socks for the flight, night flights get chilly willy.

I just wear nice skinny jeans, vest and something over the top - jacket or cardigan. I'm always freezing in the plane but get extra blankets.

Soft jersey trousers, t shirt and cardigan or soft blazer jacket. Some slip on shoes or sandals that I can slip off if I want to. Maybe a vest top underneath if I want an extra layer.
It's all about comfort and practicality.

I take a huge scarf that acts as a shawl for the plane.

If you want to be super comfy on the plane, you could change at the airport at the far end. Sounds like your outfit might be trying to do too much.

harem trousers, vest top and cardi. socks and I like to wear shoes that I can run in in case of an emergency.... but I get anxious about that so ignore me!

Skinny jeans and my heaviest wedges, I also take a pair of plastic flip flops for when we pass security. And a nice floaty top.

I went in February last year, everywhere is super air conditioned, so when you land you won't notice the heat until you step out if the airport.

You will have millions of taxis to chose from for a transfer so won't be outside for long!

We flew from Manchester to Dubai last month, so obviously not freezing here in July (but let's be honest hardly cracking the flags in Manchester!) but Dubai was at its hottest.

Dubai airport is air conditioned, as will be the hotel you go to, so you will only be outside going to & from your transport to the hotel (seconds in our case) & all the taxis are a/c.

I would wear what you'd wear if you were traveling now (linen pants, t-shirt & linen cardigan in my case) & maybe take a cape or wrap for when you're in Manchester.

Have a great time!

I do a fair amount of traveling to warmer climates mid-winter. I wear a loose dress, jumper and tights. Jumper and tights come off before arrival. I would always pack one jumper anyway, so it isn´t taking up room. The only unnecessary item is then the pair of tights, and they roll up really small.

It's never that hot that you can't cope in the sun until you get into a cat/bus/build etc that us air conditioned

Big scarf and wooly socks for the plane.

I travel a lot. My plane outfits are harem trousers, flip flops (cosy socks for plane) or converse/trainers, t shirt, hoody, or jersey maxi skirt and a cosy top plus t shirt. I just take the warmer layer off on arrival.
I like to allow for plenty of in flight bloating and like to be really comfortable. No posh hotel has ever turned a hair at what I arrive in

Loose jersey trousers with a stretchy waistband and a loose jersey top. A pashmina style scarf thing that folds up very small. I always get really warm in airports and on planes so I would wear a hoody/jacket to the airport then shove it in my case just before checking it. Then pashmina round shoulders so I can swish about and pretend to be a fat version of Audrey Hepburn...

Don't forget to put your sunglasses in your handbag. You'll want them if it's bright when you land.

I fly about 4 times a month for work. I don't really do plane outfits anymore - usually just jeans, a t shirt and a jumper that I can tie round my waist.

Depends under 5 hours I wear sandals, shorts, vest and sweatshirt. Any longer I wear joggers and hoody so I can sleep. The A380 was unbelievably warm on our night flight but it's an amazing plane!

Thinking about it, I've never been on a flight that's been cold that I've needed socks or scarves.

Have a great time!

Jeans, t-shirt, and jumper or jacket I can take off when needed. If I were going somewhere fancy, I'd wear a work top instead of a t-shirt.

If you're going straight to the hotel, you probably won't be spending too long in the hot weather before you get a chance to change.

Ordinary everyday clothes at Heathrow and getting on plane. Change into something comfy to sleep on plane then just before arrival change into cooler clothes. It's all air conditioned from airport, in car to hotel so you'll be fine whatever. My husband changes into pjs to sleep but that's a step too far for me.

I did this journey last November, but then carried on from Dubai to Delhi (so final destination wasn't posh).

I wore harem pants, vest, denim jacket, Ugg boots and a huge scarf which doubled up as a blanket. I had flip flops in my bag to change when we landed.

You might want to look a bit more glam, but that combo worked. TBH, you just need nicer sandals and maybe a soft biker jacket instead of my denim option to make it work for you.

I go to Dubai in October. Always smart skinny jeans, flat pumps, vest and nice cardigan. Always carry wrap for the plane as take the night flights. Always pack flip flops and swim wear/ light dress and change at the hotel on arrival. Most nice hotels have shower and changing room for when travellers arrive to freshen up. I love Dubai - enjoy!

Maxi dress with leggings underneath that can be taken off, and a cardi/jumper on top.
