I'm probably going to get a Mumsnet lecture: however I think strangers asking to take pictures of my son when we're out for a family meal every single weekend and for others to join our table to pet my son like he's a puppy is overstepping boundaries. Am I wrong ?? A: he's not a dog so petting him is just weird and b:he is my child he's not an art piece so strangers taking photos are a complete Nono.

Is there something distinctive about him which elicits these reactions? I thought my own DS was a smasher but I never had to fend off the paparazzi when out for meals. Confused

What's so special about your son?

Why are they taking photos?

Random people actually just come up and start taking photos of your child?

I think my son is perfect, I've had a few comments saying he's cute etc but this has never happened to me. Am I missing something?

Everyone falls in love with him he's got a special aura about him and he's a beauty his laugh is what people see. We were having breakfast in a hotel we were staying in and he was laughing when all of a sudden 230 guests joined in with laughing it's like a paparazzi everywhere we go.

Surely if someone comes up to you with a camera/getting their phone out you can tell them not to?

Nope. I've still never seen that happen, even to other children who have a special aura.

I agree with you that it isn't acceptable but if you know/can see it's happening surely you can tell them to stop?

To be honest, this sounds like a load of bollocks. Most people surely know not to just start taking photos of someone's baby at breakfast?

His laugh is infectious I've been at the bus station with him and he was laughing at a video I was crying with laughter for 10 minutes I couldn't move

oh dear op, you have pointed out that your child is more special than other children. you are about to get roasted. put a fire blanket on immediatley.

in answer to you q. people should not take pictures of anyone without ansking - especially children.
