Watching washing on the line on a breezy day. I could literally stare at it for hours, it gives me a complete sense of wellbeing.

I've just got 4 lovely lavender plants from Lidl for under £2 and I've got just the spot for them near the door. I've sown some passion fruit seeds and they are sprouting, so they're going up the wall.

I'm planning my DDs first birthday party. I know she won't care, but we do. There will be cake and balloons. What's not to love!

Oh yes, seeing a full load of washing drying in the wind on a sunny day, and the smell of it when it comes in!

When I go out in the morning and hear a bird singing his heart out - a beautiful sound - that's why I love spring so much! Secondly, a beautiful sunset when there is lemon, apricot, pale pink, palest green, turquoise, pale blue and orange and red in the west - wonderful sight! Thirdly a rainbow. Fourthly kittens or puppies playing, ahhhhhh!!!

I am not a fan of dismal weather but a downpour of biblical proportions this afternoon whilst I was reading was beyond cosy!

Lovely thread.

For me it's fresh bed linen and jammies, after a lovely relaxing bath.

Cooking dinner with my DP. We chat, we laugh, we dance around the kitchen.

Watching our cats scuttling around and playing together, then when they are tired they climb up on me and snuggle in with a big happy sigh.

When it rains really heavily and the wind is howling. Lighting the fire and sitting watching the rain beat against the window.

Time with my nephew. That's the best one. Until he arrived, I never knew it was possible to feel so much love for a tiny wee person (DP and I don't have children, though not for the want of trying). He has been such a special light in our lives. I happily spend hours just sitting on the floor with him, playing and laughing. And then when he comes in for a giant hug and big slobbery kiss, it's just amazing. He's amazing. Watching DP get down on the floor and play with him, the great time they have together. I'm constantly floored by his lovely, caring personality, mischevious sense of humour, and big happy laugh. So wonderful.

What a lovely thread OP - thanks for starting it! :)

Loads of the things that other posters have already mentioned - plus things like red wine and naice chocolate, 😍 my cats when they're all comfy and settled, listening to my favourite music, sitting on a lovely squishy comfy sofa, having the fire on when it's chilly outside, the first bite of a hot meal when you're cold, worn-out and in need of some TLC....

The smell of orange peel, yes I do sniff the peel. A fresh pair of washing up gloves. Rain when I don't need to go anywhere. Hearing young child laugh.

A pot of tea and a nice piece of coffee cake.
Family gatherings at my Dad's house, they make me feel so grounded.
