Kevin and Anna are the least believable couple since, oh wait there's Peter and Toyah.
Kevin and Anna just don't seem to operate as a couple. It's not that she's getting a hard time off Kevin for not wanting sex. He has tried to help her or talk about it in his own ham fisted way which is why it results in a row inevitably. He gets frustrated sometimes. Anna is just an angry hard-faced person. No change since how she was with Owen.
However, I noticed this now familiar pattern from Kevin:
Remember when he was married to Sally ? First or second time - either will do and he started a relationship with Natalie (Denise Welch) ? He wasn't getting any from Sally at the time either. She was perpetually at her mother's house as her mother was ill.
Kev took his sense of entitlement and penetrated an all to willing Natalie with it.
Now we have Anna with body confidence issues who isn't confident in bed, so Kevin responds to the other woman who was pretty much waving her knickers at him whilst shouting cooeee.
I was only half watching him confess that he'd, 'been with someone else' how did he get away with having his good shirt on under his overalls when he got home that he had put back on to give some credence to his, 'vehicle breakdown call out' story ?
Kev and his affair partner make a much more credible couple than Kev and Anna. Or Dev and his unfaithful partner for that matter.
Dev has always got on my nerves but last night he excelled himself. All that stuff he had arranged for her. Why ? Still making up for making such a hash of his partners birthday ? It's the schmaltzy 'c'mon baybeeee' delivery that gets to me. Also, his attitude of 'I've done something you, aren't you lucky ? Now get down on your knees and thank me 'cause aren't I just the greatest ? Yuk.
My money is on Mary for the third Mrs Cole. I can't believe the change in Norris. I thinks I saw some emotional warmth coming from him lately. Just once mind.
How come Mary didn't have another crack at Roy once the dust had settled from Hayley's death ? Or he notice her. They've got boring in common.
