I know I know this is not an aibu but there seems to be most traffic here!
Friday was mils funeral. In the first car was me, DH, dsd, dss, and DH ex wife. Ex wife and I sat together at the church and at the crematorium. She told me she was glad DH was with me, and I was a good step mum. I told her I was so lucky when it came to DH ex wife, considering some of the horror stories I read on here! She was really upset after the service and we had a long hug. I felt like any issues we might have had over the last 6 years were forgotten and I'm glad we asked her to be in the car with us etc. I guess I just want to say my DH ex is totally avoiding the stereotype and I just want to say thank you to her for never making things difficult for me and for accepting me into her dcs life.
