Screaming, banging and music from next door

I live in a small building of purpose build flats. It's very 'naice'. Lots of young professionals and not cheap. I only moved in a month ago, have seen a neighbour from one side but not the other.

My neighbour (I think it's them) has been blaring out music now since 10pm. It's 2.30 and I have to get up at 5 to go to work. I'm have a mathematical job, I have to be 'on' all the time and I have a presentation tomorrow that is important.

I would go round to tell them to turn it down except every half an hour there are piercing screams coming through the wall. I think it's two men living there and it's a woman scream. There's banging and shouting. Someone has tried to open my door and pressed my buzzer at around 1pm. I think this was after they went outside to smoke and came back to the wrong flat but it's still scared me.

My housemate is on a night shift so I'm here alone.

I don't mind music on a weekend but it's 0230 on a Sunday/Monday ffs!!

What can I do (besides make a lot of noise when I go to work in a few hours?!).

Call the police if there is a woman screaming.

I agree, call the police. Someone may be in danger. As a minimum the police can get the noise down even if all ok.

I agree about calling the police as well. Hope it all works out okay, OP Flowers

The music has stopped and so has the screaming. It's really confusing.

Just started the music again...

We have communal postboxes. I'm thinking of wishing them a Monday as miserable as mine tomorrow morning when I leave...
