Fire inspectors found it so dangerous they suggested leave immediately.

That point was made earlier about some of the blocks in Tottenham - that there may need to be some rapid evacuations done, this weekend.

Came across this when looking up Ferrier point to see where it was. £43,000 is peanuts compared with what's going to need to be spent after doing thermal insulation on the cheap. Wonder if it was ever done or merely just quoted.

There may be a hundred blocks around the country like this.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p056nw0f

"Ferrier and Grenfell Tower have eerie similarities.
The two buildings were both built in the 1970s.
They both have 23 floors.
And Ferrier Point was covered in cladding similar to that used on Grenfell Tower, by the same contractors, Rydon Ltd, as part of a regeneration scheme."

And yet another disaster waiting to happen:
how many "(very slightly) cheaper" new schools have been built without sprinkler systems since this .....

"The government's decision to drop the requirement for all new school buildings to be fitted with sprinklers is a retrograde move"
