Today I needed to order something expensive which (for me) does need some faith in the person I'm dealing with's competence.
The guy I was dealing with is I'd guess between 37 & 43, he was slurring his words and sounded a bit drunk. It was clear that he wasn't drunk and I presumed he'd probably had a stroke or similar and concluded the transaction.
After which we got chatting and he told me that he's been in what must have been a very serious RCT and had to learn to talk again after!
I believe that I treated him as I would anyone else and as I expect to be treated by a customer, having a customer facing role that is always my aim.
AIBU to be bothered that he obviously feels the need to explain himself? I mean its 2017, are people still judgemental in that way?
