Aibu to think my reception aged ds shouldn't be coming home with heat exhaustion. Yes I know it's crazy hot today but surely the school should have measures in place to make sure the children are drinking plenty and not spending prolonged periods outside (he told me they did pe outside and was outside for all of lunch.) Now I work in a cool and we only spent 15 mins outside at break and 30 mins at lunch then everyone was brought in as it was too hot and not enough shade.
He's also said he didn't drink much today as he forgot which is believable as he's five and gets too involved in playing.
Ds is currently lay in bed with stomach cramps, slight temperature, headache, and nausea. He spent the hour so previous sat in the bathroom wretching but not actually vomiting.
Any advice on how I should approach this with the school. I've tried sending in bottles of water but have been told only y1 up can have them and they don't let reception children have them as they have water in class.
Thanks
