I'm pregnant and would really like to do hypnobirthing classes. My DP is not into this "hippy dippy shit" and I think he would find it a little uncomfortable - although when it comes down to the actual day, I have no doubt he'll be pretty amazing, as he was with our other children. Anyway, back to the AIBU - or being insensitive - to ask my friend to come with me. She and her husband have been trying for a baby for over a year and I know she was a little gutted when she found out I was (unexpectedly) pregnant. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable either or to upset her, but if I end up having the home birth I'm hoping for, I'd quite like her there at some point, even if it's just for a bit of support whilst DP manages our other two whilst I'm in the early stages. To be honest, I don't even know what to expect with hypnobirthing. Is it appropriate or insensitive to ask her?
