I don't hear about these attacks and then go about the place attacking anyone dressed in Muslim attire?
Why does everyone feel the need to tell us NOT to hate the muslim community?
I see no evidence of anyone actually doing this.
It's quite insulting to be honest. As if, because one man has committed a heinous act I would go around abusing all Muslims.

Where I live there have been Muslim women harassed on buses this week, so obviously some people do think like that.

There is always a spike in hate crimes after an attack like this.

I've seen some horrible stuff written by the friend of a friend today on Facebook. I've been engaged in spats with utterly horrible people on Twitter the past two days.

There are people who absolutely do behave like that. Just because you don't do it, others do.

Yy and my ex SIL has 'liked' this horrible rant by her friend about Muslim terrorists. That's how I saw it. I'm shocked at her to be honest. She actually has Muslim friends, on Facebook. How must they bloody feel to see her liking stuff like that?

'everyone' is not taking to you, as your are obviously an enlightened person embracing others. They are talking to millions of people who are scared, bigotted, 'not-racist-but...', and everything in between. The bus I was on deliberately didn't stop to pick up a Muslim man this morning. I thought about complaining to First Bus but then it couldn't be proved definitively. His sneer when he looked at him said it all to me though.

I think you have a nice bunch of friends OP. I've seen people liking posts saying all muslims should be deported even if they've been born here (who knows where too?). Others have been liking far right groups and people like Tommy Robinson. Still more have said Islam should be banned. To be fair a lot of my timeline has also gone the other way and there has been a lot of positive posts about people of all religions and races pulling together. It's depressing though that these incidents always bring the racists out.

It does happen OP, but I guess it depends on where you live as to whether you witness it. I work where there are some muslims, and some of us have been pulled up by our manager on the fact that we were talking about the attack and discussing how appalling it was, but apparently a couple of the muslims had complained as they felt uncomfortable. Just don't get why they felt it was an insult against their religion, when it was a discussion about a vile murderer.
