AIBU?

To be sick of this politics of nastiness that's crept into society?

I'm sick of it. Every election or vague political discussion descends into a vile slanging match. Currently my Facebook is full of people slanging off politicians and people who vote one way or the other it's horrible and I've found myself deleting and unfollowing a lot of people.

When did this become acceptable?

Totally agree. People need to get over themselves and learn some empathy. and frankly the constant Tory bashing is very boring
I've voted every colour at some point. I have friends who would disown me as a result of this!!

I agree. I try to not get involved in it. People can promote Jeremy Corbyn all they want on Facebook. Doesn't mean I'll vote for him. Id sooner vote for a tuna sandwich. They then get vety agressive if anyone else dare debate their views.

I'm with you. Not all Labour supporters are deluded self righteous half wits and not all Tories hate the poor and disabled. I'm sick of it. I'd love some serious discussion without childish name calling.

Absolutely agree. I won't be discussing who I'm voting for this time around as I'm sick of the vitriol surrounding it. People on Facebook saying horrible things about 'X' or 'Y' voters. Constant threads on here spouting how 'wrong' each 'side' is. Really annoys me and certainly doesn't win me over. I'm just unfollowing and hiding posts about it now. How someone votes does not define them.

Agree. Race to the bottom. 😟

The thing is there is no real Left and Right any more. There are policies I like and ones I hate from every party and people votes based on a huge range of factors including their own circumstances and their individual their MP.
