To ask if you think Jeremy Corbin will stand down after GE?

Sorry, I know there are so many threads about the GE/politics.

I am just wondering what will happen after the GE. I am a Labour supporter and will vote Labour but I think it is highly likely Labour will come out very badly.

Will Jererny resign? Will there be a split? Are we really going to have Tory gov't again???

Anyone have any insights to give me hope?

No insights, but JC does seem to have a talent for hanging in there against overwhelming opposition, so I'd be surprised if he resigned without a fight.

I doubt he'll go willingly. I think he should and I think he should take Diane Abbot with him.

I think he will stay. I don't know how they will get rid of him.

Of course we will have another Conservative government. Theresa May was publicly saying nothing is certain, can't be complacent when in reality she is probably dancing round her kitchen and whooping triumphantly.

I think we all need the join the Labour Party so we can vote him out. I strongly suspect the current membership who voted him in were actually Tory voters taking the piss.

I'm not sure to be honest, I don't think he is acting in the best interests of the party, which is very apparent to the general public, but rather he is hanging on with dogged determination. I think possibly unless they can find away to force him out he won't go.

One things for sure and that's this election is a nightmare for him, he will know the Labour Party are going to be annihilated as he has failed to bring the party together or appear competent to the nation.

I think he has very strong support within the party all my Labour voting friends are very pro JC and seem to believe he's a victim of a media slur campaign and actually close to the second coming. I don't know if they are totally out of touch with the rank and file Labour voter (voting results certainly seem to indicate this) but their support seems unconditional I can't see him resigning it's like his Professional Protester credentials are now being used by him against his own party. It's all very strange and disturbing the Lib dems seem to just be foundering out of their depth. I voted Green for years but they got into power where I live and it was embarrassing it was so bad plus green policies are up there now they have kind of done their job. The Tories should be wiping the floor but if you look at election results they really just picked up the UKIP vote.

In the Simpsons there was an episode with a flashback of Homer joining a club. He was annoying and oafish so everybody left and set up "The No Homer Club", leaving him on his own in the old club. I see most of the Labour doing the same with Jeremy. A new centre left "No Jeremy" party for all those who want to be electable, leaving Jezza, Dianne, McWotsit in the Momentum Party.

He should go now to give the Labour party at least a chance in the GE. The man is a self-serving twunt though and he won't. I know lots of people who are Labour supporters but who think Corbyn is a liability. They won't vote Labour while he's in charge. In the local elections for the first time in his life DP didn't vote Labour.

I was a Labour Party voter and am no longer precisely because of him. Similarly my other Labour Party voter friends are the same.

He doesn't want to run the country and actually effect change.

He has no idea how to properly hold the Tories to account. PMQs means nothing to most people outside of Westminster.

He will not get his voice heard via the media so needs to use social media but I can't see that happening. Get viral on twitter, use Facebook etc. Where is he?

He needs to tidy up his public image. He needs better media advisors and he needs to have trained his cabinet on handling the media.

As he's done none of these things, he's destroying the party for another decade.

There's no point being idealistic if you can't get your voice heard. He has to play dirty.

He was supposed to be backing the Remain campaign for the referendum but did bugger all. Seems his personal view may have been different from what he publicly claimed. I can't forgive him that. Both a liar and ineffectual.

He has no leadership qualities and many current Labour policies are out of touch and outdated - idealistic, very far to the left and unattainable. He is clueless.

Tempted to join just so I can vote him out next time someone with a bit more about them than the last guy gets the balls to stand against him.

They were chaotic, approved some appalling expensive white elephants resigned when things got tough and oversaw an almost complete breakdown in rubbish clearance.

I supported him at first, I gained renewed faith in politics when he won the leadership contest. Now I am so utterly disappointed, he's an absolute liability. I'll still vote labour though, voting for anyone else is a vote for the tories and my morals and conscience won't let me do that

I don't think he'll resign the leadership whatever happens because his puppet masters Momentum will not let him. He appears to
believe equally in their slavish adoration of himself so they are all together in the echo chamber. He must have a gigantic ego. All very odd (worryingly so)

I think after the GE Labour must split so JC and Momentum can be one political party and Centrist Labour can be a separate party. Otherwise Labour will be in the wilderness forever.

It may well be that the media and lack of party backing destroyed him. Be that as it may, his leadership attempt has failed and the right thing to do would be to stand down urgently in the wake of the council elections in the hope that something can be salvaged in the GE.

I also wish he didn't look so irritable all the time. To my mind, irritable is next to flustered. He compares so poorly to for instance Sadiq Khan who always looks so energetic and enthused.

He didn't step down when he lost the vote of no confidence by 173 votes to 40 and two thirds mornings cabinet resigned so I'm not sure anything can make him resign.
He has ruined the Labour Party and all I can see is Tory getting the biggest majority they have ever had in the general election.
There are some labour voters who can't stand JC and but they will still vote labour because they would vote mickey mouse if he wore a red rosette (I'm looking at you DH) but lots of others will not vote JC as they don't believe in his policies and have no faith in him or his shadow cabinet.
