AIBU?

I think I may be a slob

This is just light hearted musing but Im feeling a bit guilty by my slob like tendencies...
So I had to have a day off work and and DC kept at home ( he was sick last night). Neither of us are dressed and Ive spent the morning looking at crap on the internet and just made myself a crisp wrap for lunch.
I've got so much to do but just can't be arsed. DC is feeling much better so no mopping of brow required.
Aibu to feel guilty......

If only I was organised enough to have bread in the house I would totally be having a crisp sandwich right now.

I don't even have kids, I'm just slobbing around the house refusing to do anything.

Nah. Why make life difficult? People who rush round like they've got a firework up their arse when they don't have to don't know what they're missing.

You have a job and DC so you can't be that bad, you're just having some time out! A bit of recharge time is good.

I'm definitely 100% a slob.
My OH despairs of me 😊 I care not.

I will eventually tidy up after myself etc but I have to reward myself with a ore tidy slob about. Today I've taken the kids to school, come back & had breakfast, by the time my painkillers kicked in so I could actually move again it was time to pick youngest up from nursery, couldn't be bothered to make lunch so stopped at greggs on the way home & have come back to eat & slob some more!

A crisp wrap, eh? That's fancy.

Clearly you're too classy to bung your crisps between a couple of slices of sliced white.

But honestly, let's move onto the really important issue. What crisps?

Ladysalmakia - I have no bread either so a wrap had to do. It was delicious...
It's not just the odd day tho. I am naturally pretty lazy. My dh is very driven. It's so annoying. He never stops and hates sitting down. I used to work a 6-2 shift before kids I would grab a take away on my way home for lunch ( yep I put a lot of weight on) then sleep it off. I would set my alarm for 15 mins before dh got home so I could get up bustling about pretending I'd been busy Grin
Maybe I should be bloody guilty and get my arse moving! I will get dressed in a bit....

Duke- ready salted but the only bread like substance I had was a Mediterranean herb wrap - now that is fancy!

I HAVE FOUND SOME BREAD!! There were two fancy big baps in the back of the freezer. I got so over excited that I'm boiling some eggs so I can have egg mayo on my crisp sandwich for I am FANCY and no longer a slob.

I have even folded some towels AND I PUT THEM AWAY. Though I did get bored and leave the rest of the stuff on the airer which is in the middle of the kitchen floor and I'm back on the sofa.

That's great news Lady. I've never thought of an egg and crisp sandwich. Will try it next time.
Yes I think as you've folded a couple of tea towels you can definitely come off the slob list.

I'm a slob, I like to call myself a procrastinator.
I will sit on the floor sorting out clean clothes in to family member piles and I'll notice something on the label or in a pocket or anything really! and then decide to sit there and google it. I then come off google and starts browsing crap. Before you know it, I've sat here for an hr and I've touched 3 items of clothing!
I think my phone is the problem

I'm a slob too! My DP despairs but I like to chill in pyjamas and eat rubbish all day in front of the tv as well (only when I'm on night shifts usually). I also love a crisp sandwich but alas no crisps or bread in the house SadGrin

I'm a slob too. My friend is always running...literally...about her house, tidying up, arranging cushions, prepping....she's not happier than I am. She worries about mess. She DASHES from room to room and her DH is afraid to sit on the sofa!

As long as floors are clean, food prep areas and loos are clean and most surfaces are junk free, then I'm happy.

Clearly I win at life today.

I have the biggest and longest list of crap that I need to do today on my day off so I can be a functioning adult in a nice flat. I could even throw all those off and go shopping cause it's pay day. But I am just going to sit here and piss about until my husband comes home because I am lazy and I feel sorry for myself.

I have just attempted to get moving and get both myself and my DS dressed. I've not got very far because I can't find any of his undies Hmm

I'm jealous and want a pound bakery pie GrinI've eaten a go ahead bar and bad if crisps (no fancy wraps here)

I've never heard of pound bakery but it sounds like my kind of eating establishment. The fact you have actual cleaning clothes impresses me.
Now where the hell are all my son's underpants!?!?

I didn't get out of bed till 11 and I've watched Judge Judy and Diagnosis Murder, I feel it's a bit harsh to put me out of the slob running for moving some towels!!

A crisp wrap? Interesting. Did you have anything else in it? Cheese and crips would be nice, I want cheese and cheese.
