I've got an Ultra not sure if it's an ultra 20.

It's quite new and i'm not brilliant with it - what do you want to know?

Sorry for the delay guys! I have a very demanding newborn!

So, I purchased the ultra 20 & have started using it yesterday.

TMI but when I put the probe in and turn it on to programme 14 - postnatal incontinence

The pulsing seems to be external like on my cl*toris yes I'm a 27 year old mum and can't say that word let alone type it!

People say they can feel the muscle contracting but I can't.

Tell me! How do you do it??

I used to get that when I first started. It's a weird feeling and I couldn't feel contracting of the muscles either. I looked it up at the time and it seemed to be due to the metal parts of the probe not making proper contact with the walls of your vagina. That can be ca used by two things, either you need more gel (it's water based and water conducts electricity, it's not just for lube purposes) or the walls of your vagina are not making contact with the probe at all, which can be solved by lying down with legs closed/crossed whilst using the kegal8

oh I don't get that. I did contact them though when I couldn't get it to work and the customer services people were very helpful. (I used email, so no need to get embarrassed!). The FAQs on the website are quite hard to find, but also helpful.

I did need to use gel, which helped me. You also have to put it in so that the metal bits are on each side rather than front and back - that might help

I've experienced that, like your clitoris is being zapped and it's quite uncomfortable. Usually I just adjust the probe and open my legs a bit which usually works, I find crossing or squeezing together makes it more intense so I guess everyone is different in that respect.

I agree that you need a lot of water based lube and make sure you're putting the probe in the right way according to instructions.

Il be honest, my poor vagina has experienced it all.

I haven't even used lube Shock

Takes herself to another room and runs head first into a wall!

Can I still use the probe if it's still sore & swollen inside??

If it were me I'd give it a few days until swelling goes down and no pain, you do need to use the lube though, did yours come with a little bottle in the box? Mine did but I don't know if that was just a promotional thing.

It's been 5 weeks since I had him, it could be months before the pain & swelling goes.

I sneezed last night & wet myself, I'd rather go through the pain of inserting the probe than wait months whilst still wetting myself & occasionally shitting myself.

Ah, Sorry I thought you mean that was causing the pain and swelling Blush

I have no idea what to advise, maybe ask your GP but I personally wouldn't use it if you're in too much pain and you're still swollen. I've took a break from mine as I've just had a bit of surgery 'down there' and don't intend to use it again until I'm fully healed. Pain is a warning sign, listen to your body.

If you can't feel it try adjusting your position. I sit up poker straight using mine, and just a slight change in the angle I'm sitting in means that I don't feel it or it's not doing what it should do.

Can't comment on the pain/swelling though as my youngest is 6 so that's long gone. Maybe leave it a couple of weeks and try again, it does take a while for things to settle down down there after giving birth.

Wildbelle how do you know it's doing what it should do?

Does everyone really rate the kegel8? I had something similar a few years ago and it was brill, but if there's new and improved I want to know!

OP do take it easy though, a couple of weeks will hopefully help a lot with the bruising and swelling. Are you taking arnica, as many people seemed to swear by it? Also baths with teaspoon of salt and couple of drops of tea tree then lots of air wafting round your nethers was what my fancy uro-gynaecologist recommended. Eurgh, the memories (crosses legs).

I had one but left the batteries in unused god too long at they corroded so just brought a different (cheaper) brand but have found it the same to use.

I use my lying down but do have to point the point bit towards my bum a bit to avoid nasty "shocks". I'm assuming the contractions will get better with use - hoping so anyway Wink

I cannot help with the machine but I'm glad you're back and seeming a little more, shall we say, 'philosophical' about it all, lifesjoys. I wanted to cry with you on your previous thread and I hope you got some of your frustration out of your system.
Good luck with it!

Anna - it just feels like the muscles are properly contracting - sometimes if I'm sitting slightly wrong it feels a bit half arsed.

Aw thank you!

I'm feeling quite positive about this, of course having to wait until the swelling & pain has subsided is a pain in my ass (literally lol), however I'm hoping this can help me get back to normal!

Externally everything is pretty much healed, it's just internal!

I just can't bear to wet myself anymore!
