I don't know - but if you contributed take a look at the "I'm on" link and it will tell you

• Thread deleted
• Message from MNHQ: We've had some reports about this thread, and having looked into it more closely, we do have some concerns about the veracity of the OP.

It got deleted? I completely believed that. What a strange thing to post then.

Oh don't tell me that was fake.

I did wonder -then again unless
It's banal I think nearly 50% are fake

Note as queer as folk

Although on reflection is what a bit strange when op said. She had no medical help to over come her addiction.

ImperialBlether · 27/04/2017 21:30

That was the one who couldn't remember whether it was four or five years since she'd stopped heroin?

Report
SalemSaberhagen · 27/04/2017 21:31

I didn't post on that one because it seemed a bit suspect. The timings were all off.

What a sick thing to bloody troll about.
A lot of very genuine people opened up on that thead.

I think claiming to have just completed a degree 4 or 5 years after coming off heroin despite having no gcses or A levels was a bit unrealistic!

Bibs2014 · 27/04/2017 21:36

I can't believe someone would lie?

Wth! people are so strange, did raise an eyebrow when they changed from 4 to 5 years though.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/04/2017 21:37

Oh in this world and the cranks in it. I can.

Report
WayfaringStranger · 27/04/2017 21:48

People are fucking weird.

Report
QueenDork · 27/04/2017 21:48

There was something off about that one, I can't put my finger on it but something just didn't ring true.

If it is genuine after all then I wish the OP all the best!

Read, and then realised there's no way someone could self detox and complete 14 - 19 education and a degree in four or five years. Particularly as heroin has a tendency to fuck over you thinking / mind / ability to learn for a while after you stop using it.

I started a reply to congratulate the OP but then thought something didn't seem quite right about the whole story.
Odd thing to post though.

I'm actually quite gutted about this especially as I was going to post about my currently not very successful battle with addiction (alcohol) but am now glad I didn't. Looking back, it does all seem a bit too good to be true. You live and learn.

I saw that thread. Why would someone make up something that boring? Some people are seriously weird. Confused

Report
Timeforabiscuit · 27/04/2017 22:02

Sad its one of the few troll threads where i would infinitely prefer the story to be true.

Heroin is such an absolute fucker.

I did think the timescales were off and didn't reply because I had suspicions, but equally wondered why anyone would bother lying about something like that. Nowt so queer a folk I suppose.

What a weird thing to make up. Obviously people enjoy the attention, but surely it doesn't feel the same to get congratulations if they haven't actually achieved anything Confused

There have been a few "interesting" threads recently where the poster claims to have just qualified as a social worker. Not sure whether they're all the same troll poster, or whether it's just a popular theme at the moment.
