I am in total shock!

I sent my passport application on Thursday last week via the Post Office Check and Send- and the postman just delivered my brand new passport today! Only 6 days later!

Would IBU to ask if this was super quick?

I got mine in two days last year. Did do Check and Send but didn't pay for priority service.

We sent recently for DD 1st passport and got it back exactly 1 week later

That's brilliant. I think maybe it's quicker when it's not summer holiday times maybe? I just feel lucky! It's put me in such a good mood lol!

I think the girls last pair of passports were probably only in Newport Passport office for about an hour, they arrived just four working days after I sent them off Check and Send. That was in January.

Ours took exactly a week to.
And we are in the Middle East, so they had to get to the UK first!
We were amazed.

check and send saves ages imo. Worth every penny.

My son's first passport was 5 days (normal service). That was last year.

wifeyhun Wed 26-Apr-17 16:58:42

6 days in Feb this year.

BitOutOfPractice Wed 26-Apr-17 16:59:22

48 hours! I applied at the passport office on the Wednesday. Not possible to do express same-day service because it was for a child. It arrived on the Friday.

I wanted to kiss the whole of the passport service. We were flying on the Sunday and I'd only realised my DD1's passport had expired when I went to enter her details at check in shock

fc301 Wed 26-Apr-17 18:46:30

Mon- Thurs. post there & back!

RaspberryOverloadsOnChilli Wed 26-Apr-17 18:47:53

5 days and 6 days, both for children and I didn't use check and send. However, I did apply for them around February each time, don't know if that makes a difference.

Seren85 Wed 26-Apr-17 18:52:07

5 days for me and 3 for DH on separate occasions. We did both use check and send though.
