So..DH went out this morning at 6.40am. Didn't say where he was going. DS aged 4 comes into our room which we share with our 8 month DD, saying he'd heard daddy's car and where was he. I said I didn't know...I'll check my phone in case there's a work emergency (he owns his own business) or gone to see his DD who lives 20 minutes away for breakfast, which occasionally happens. No text, no message saying where he is. So I carry on with kids, and he pitches up all happy. Swimming.
For context...he's doing an ironman soon, so is training for that. He is doing it with my blessing...I have zero issue with training even though it does mean he's not about much on the weekends and if he's not training he's either tired or unwell 😶.
My issue was the total lack of any clues or comms. He did similar on Easter Sunday while we were away. We were going out for a drive and lunch and the only inkling I had of his plans were my deduction he was going for a run when he brought a bag of kit downstairs. I assumed....correctly...that he planned to run part of the way back. Again, no issue, but no fricking comms about it. At all.
Is this lacking in common courtesy?
