Speaking to playcentre or not?

NC as very outing.

Long story short, we attended a local petting zoo/playcentre place at the weekend. Son (2.5) supervised by us at all times. He went to the top of a rope/net thing which was set in a wooden frame. Husband sat at top next to son. Son goes to get onto net, slips and falls back hitting head on an embedded rock. Area is supposed to be covered in bark. Blood, cut head, tears. we went into the cafe area which was next to where we were and sought first aid attention. FA arrived having been told bthere was c hild with a cut to their head with 2 wipes and a plaster. FA'er gave DS water, sweets, wrote accident form out but didnt really do any first aid because of where the cut was (in thick hair). She gave us a pass to return another day. I don't think we will as I was quite shaken and upset by the ordeal and wouldn't feel comfortable DS being there. (I have anxiety issues which may be tainting my view).

I dont know whether to speak to them - not sure what I would achieve but I'm so cross that this has happened and the play area had embedded rocks where someone can hurt themselves. FA'er did mention that they should do regular bark inspections.

I just want to vent I suppose and ensure no other child gets injured in the same way - Son is ok thankfully but what if he hadn't been....

WWYD?

I would raise it with them and ask how they plan to ensure this isn't repeated. I wouldn't attempt to issue a claim against them. I would go back another day but I accept that might not be possible because of your anxiety.

I'd consider it one of those things, and I'd enjoy the free return visit - though I'd comment if they hadn't fixed the issue second time round.

TestingTestingWonTooFree Yes, its most certainly not about any kind of gain. I just think what if it had been more serious.
