All that by 7am? I'd call that an achievement & so would my cat.Brew

Oh God agree. Had a rare night out last night and I'm up supervising lego and drinking tea and wondering if I can go back to bed

Ohhhhh I agree, I woke at 5am, got up, load of washing done, waiting to get hung out, today's roast is in the oven & potatoes peeled. Now sitting knitting my little Grandson's Christening Shawl.

I've been awake for an hour and I'm still in bed. You are way ahead of me!

stealth boast!
I am on an involuntary holiday at the moment- I did put laundry on this morning - but only because I'd run out of socks and need some today.

I have been in a no housework, no laundry state for over two weeks and its great! My body is just able to lie down and/or get out of the house and have a coffee somewhere, and my brain is on a 'maybe tomorrow I'll clean up or something' loop...

I think sometimes you need to be in that state, just to get back to normal - personally I think that after we've got through winter once the weather is warm enough to sleep comfortably without threat of cold, we automatically have a recovery minimum work period as I get this every year - I am sure its hard-wired as all those cultural opportunities, easter, may day, pagan start of spring rites etc all fit that idea of letting loose for a period as the season changes.

All these people up and doing stuff so early on a Sunday! I've been awake since 7 but have done nothing more than make a cup of tea to take back to bed. Sunday's are for lie-ins and recovering from the pace of the working week.

I've had the week off work though so I've got no excuse. I just can't be bothered. I've not got washed, have shoved on yesterday's clothes. I've thrown a second load in the machine and told myself I'm entitled to be a lazy arse because of it but my house is a tip and I've now got a mountain of wet laundry to boot because the stuff on the line is wet still because I left it out overnight Shock

I've been up for an hour, all I've done is make myself a cup of tea and feed the baby.
Ds has just come down and it's making breakfast for himself and the dds. I'm going to sit here and do nothing until I go to my nans for Sunday lunch. I've had 11 days of taking it easy since baby was born. My mum has done anything I need but she's back to work tomorrow and the dc are back to school so it'll be back to reality tomorrow.

Sproglets that's all you should be doing with a new baby. Congrats Smile

I've only just got up so you're all doing better than me Smile Currently me and DH are drinking tea and eating toast, DS is playing and none of us are dressed Smile

Going to my parents for lunch but otherwise pottering at home and preparing for another busy week at work.

Weekends are pretty much there to recover from the working week - anything I get done is an achievement Smile

I've been up since 4am. Not by choice!!! All I've managed is to sit on the sofa with DD (6 months) still in my pjs and certainly not washed or brushed my hair. You're up and have done laundry at this time on a Sunday morning, sounds accomplished to me.
