I don't mean to lower the tone on here, but I find it interesting how attraction can mean such different things to different people?
What attracted you to your DH/ DP and, perhaps more importantly, did it last or maybe evolve into something else?

His quietness yet approachability.
How respectable he was.
How silently funny he was.

The opposite of any boyfriend I had before.

I also liked his hair, height and chest if we are talking looks specific.

His sense of humour, his face, his kindness and his cockiness.

All still intact.

He's my rock.

MrsMeeseeks Sat 22-Apr-17 20:27:19

The funniest man I ever met
Lovely, broad, hairy chest
Completely unlike anyone else on the planet
Attentive, passionate and affectionate

Yes, he still has all of the above.

Goingtobeawesome Sat 22-Apr-17 20:29:36

He liked me. Apart from my first love no one had ever been nice to me before.

I think he still likes me.

Brown eyes

Confident but not arrogant

Muscular body

His face

Being sensitive & caring

Years later and he still has all in tact

I have NO IDEA, I'd known him for years before we got together (he was my boss) and hadn't had any such thoughts about him at all.
We just gradually spend more and more time together at work and got emotionally closer, and found we gelled, and started flirting a bit.
By the time it actually happened I couldn't keep my hands off him and the feeling was mutual.
It was totally emotional attraction followed by physical attraction - by the time we got together I thought he was gorgeous, and I hadn't previously.
And the sex was always amazing.

Did it last?
He recently died of cancer and towards the end his body was totally and utterly worn out.
I still thought he was gorgeous.

He put me back together when I was very broken, he's kind, considerate and never complains about my crappy chronic illness, and has the same immature sense of humour as I have.

Physically, he has huge muscly tattooed arms, the longest eyelashes and looks great (to me) in his cycling Lycra!

let me have a little think
good sense of humour
good in bed wink

he's still got all of those and still makes me laugh every single day.

AlcoholAndIrony Sat 22-Apr-17 20:40:23

His eyes got me first.

His forearms next.

And his amazing generosity, sense of humour, quietness.

He makes me a better person when I'm around him.

BlondeBecky1983 Sat 22-Apr-17 20:40:39

His gorgeous smile and warmth from the moment we met, his kindness, his respect and care for me from the moment we met, the fact that he is a true gentleman, not to mention that to me he is the most gorgeous man on the planet. tbusmile

I love my dp humour he always makes me laugh and then he loves to add it 'are you having an oops moment' referring to the Tena lady advert as I always say stop making me laugh I need to pee, but that comment makes me laugh more as he says it in a funny way.

He is so supportive of me and if I say oh I look fat today he says things like ' there's enough people in the work who can put you down so don't do it to yourself,

He is so hands on with our dd and we both want more I guess we are totally on the same wave length and have grown up together

punkpuffin Sat 22-Apr-17 20:41:00

He was a cheeky bloke but friendly and easy to chat to. We had a lot in common. And he had a gorgeous smile (and a sexy bum). He was so protective of me but not in a controlling or annoying way, he still let me be myself.

Yes he's still the same. He's still cheeky (Although sometimes infind it annoying but that's me that's changed not him). He's still fast to chat to. We still have a lot in common although I've stopped certain hobbies after dc. He selling as his goreous smile and I still like to grab his bum. And he's still protective of me but now more so of dc.

Might add he cleans the house, cooks me dinner and everything he's definitely my soulmate and yes it's cheesy I don't care

Love this post. He is everything. Even 25 years later he is still the best man I know. He is confident, capable and a fantastic father. He makes me a better person

Spudlet Sat 22-Apr-17 20:43:56

I believed in my wedding speech, I described my impressions of him from our first date as 'a personable, reasonably hygienic man who appeared to have all his own teeth' grin

I love his smile, his kindness, the fact we can talk or not and still feel comfortable, and how utterly safe I feel with his arms around me.

Zoflorabore Sat 22-Apr-17 20:44:59

I thought you were talking about an std at firstblush

Spudlet Sat 22-Apr-17 20:45:17

And yes. He still has all his own teeth!

kimann Sat 22-Apr-17 20:45:25

my husband is quite funny. super smart but not arrogant. Good looking and can laugh at himself. He is better with the kids then i will ever be. He is loving and affectionate (sad for him that i am totally the opposite of affectionate!!) Still the same man today that he was 14 years ago.

Fifteen years ago he looked exactly like Liam Gallagher. The teenage thrill of that still hasn't worn off!

ladymariner Sat 22-Apr-17 20:47:50

Your post has made me cry squirrels huge hugs to you xx

His sense of humour
His kindness
His inner strength
His honesty
He is my absolute rock and I love him to bits 💕

BuzzKillington Sat 22-Apr-17 20:48:08

Ridiculously good looking. Everyone fancied him.

He is still gorgeous but more importantly, is kind and devoted to us all. And he does all the cooking.
