No you are not. I don't mind her at all. Not my cup of tea but I think she has done very well for herself. She has a range of clothes at Target and they are lovely. I know she isn't the designer but she is running it and it is her name attached to it.

She has made the most out of the opportunities she has been presented with. I also feel very sorry for her as it seems to me that her DH plays away from home.

Lots of people do not think that she is a role model. Well I disagree. I think she is a good role model for girls to look up to. She has never given up and never let a lack of 'talent' get in her way of getting ahead. None of us are perfect or talented in each and every area. It is about making the most of what you have.

You can be pleased with her, I like her and don't find her annoying the way others do.

I do however snigger at the 'services to the fashion industry' honour, give Simon Fuller the award instead , he re-branded her and built her up to be the 'success in fashion' the media make her out to be.

what for? For being a businesswoman? For being an ex pop star? For being married to David Beckham? For having her name attached to some charities? This is exactly the kind of thing that makes all these honours utter and complete nonsense. I don't like or dislike her. She is a celebrity. Why would you reward someone for making a lot of money?

She seems like a very nice person, but she just brings out the total cahn in me!
The posing, dear lord, is she even capable of a natural stance? Her body must be frozen in that ridiculous pose she does constantly. And she really over does the whole 'I'm such a busy working mum,just like all of you' -with my endless team of staff.
And I could never take anyone seriously who did that practised exit from a hotel that she got caught out doing. Every single thing she portrays about herself is fake. I actually think if she was just herself she would be so much more likeable. No one really likes fakeness.
Plus she would sell her soul for fame.
But as I said I don't hate her, she just irritates the shite out of me, !

I have no opinion on her getting an OBE, don't really know what's the point of these 'recognitions'. I was, however, shocked when I read it was William who was leading the honours - from the picture, I 100% thought it was Andrew! Just admit defeat mate, shave it off....

cansu For what? For services to fashion. I guess it has escaped you she has been able to establish a fashion label which has earned significant plaudits internationally. Not something easy to accomplish. You realize everyone wearing those dresses with the flap at the waist/hip was a fashion moment that came from the VB label.

She really has accomplished a lot with her label. Of course she has hired designers to do the designing. You really think Donatella Versace or Stella McCartney do the designing?!?!

But Victoria will state until she is blue in the face that she does do the designing. She has someone who helps her with the drawings but the designs are all hers. Apparently.
My FIL recently got an award on the NY Honours list. He was so chuffed. He has worked tirelessly and devotedly for 40 years to his cause. Never expected a thing in return.
When he gets the lowest award and she swans up for her big award, yes, that annoys the feck out of me. Its totally unfair.

Tbh, I find the whole honours list absolutely ridiculous. Yes, these people may have done x,y or z for charity blah blah, but they've also lined their own pockets.

As a republican, I don't agree with the honours system at all. Given that we have it, there have been worse recipients than VB and I find her inoffensive, but I don't really see what she's done that's especially laudable.

I agree she is fake but I think that is due to the pressure and criticism put on her and all the DB scandal must be difficult. I still like her.
