lunch today

Dh eats meat. Always has done since we met, and eats literally anything (gregg's pies etc, burgers etc). He often talks about going vegetarian, has dabbled with it but, by his own admission, is too lazy to commit to it.

We have veggie meals regularly and he likes quorn alternatives which we buy. I prefer to have good quality meat / high well fair less often because I enjoy it.

Anyway...Wednesday evening I'm going to Sainsbury's. I ask dh what shall we do for Easter Sunday. I suggest getting gammon joint & salady bits as my parents were doing a big family roast on good Friday. He agreed, actual words were 'yeah, good idea'

This morning I said I'd better get the gammon in, and he said 'well it's my worst nightmare, you know I don't like gammon (meat). So why did you agree WHEN WE DISCUSSED IT!

Ffs just wanted to make a simple family meal for us & dc. Today is our only quiet day over the bank hols so wanted a relaxed lunch. Still cooking it but pissed off.

Aibu to think he's an awkward pain in the arse?? If he was actually a vegetarian obviously we'd not have gammon - but he isn't! He ate a ham sandwich yesterday! And roast lamb on Friday!!!

Let him just eat the salad then.Or cook his own veggie meal.

DH does this sometimes. I tell him he can make something else.

He agreed to it so he can either eat it without a fuss or he can make himself something different without a fuss and without disrupting you cooking the meal you'd agreed on

He can either do himself a sandwich etc instead or eat what you've prepared. Pretty ungrateful sounding though.
