At 11.00 am? Seriously? Why would that be unreasonable?

Sirzy Sun 16-Apr-17 11:00:25

Why would it be unreasonable? hmm

KinkyAfro Sun 16-Apr-17 11:00:31

Not unreasonable at all, it's 11.00!

scaryteacher Sun 16-Apr-17 11:00:37

This is one of the advantages of living in Belgium. Lawn mowing is forbidden on Sundays.

NoCapes Sun 16-Apr-17 11:00:57

Eh?? confused

HermioneJeanGranger Sun 16-Apr-17 11:01:51

It's 11am in the morning! How on earth is that unreasonable?!

PietariKontio Sun 16-Apr-17 11:02:19

No, not unreasonable at all. Unless it's you lawn, they're drunk, loudly condemning Jesus and playing anything by Ed Sheeran.

My grandma used to be very scornful of one of her neighbours who hung out washing on a Sunday. grin

I'm so glad I have no neighbours. It's 11am FFS, of course you're being unreasonable.

It's 11am. The world doesn't stop because it's easter Sunday.

As I was reading this thread I heard a neighbour with a power tool of some description, doesn't bother me.

This could win the prize for least unreasonable thing ever posted about on this website.

I am still in bed. I can hear the distant hum of what I think is a hedgetrimmer somewhere.

I would expect people to be doing stuff in their gardens today.

DeleteOrDecay Sun 16-Apr-17 11:06:07

Of course it's perfectly fine. Not everyone celebrates Easter for a starthmm

LottieDoubtie Sun 16-Apr-17 11:06:15

I think if a neighbour mowing a lawn (even if it's a big one, only so much of I can actually be near your house so we're talking what 20-30mins tops- probably less!) is actually preventing you from relaxing living with neighbours isnt really for you 😃

reallybadidea Sun 16-Apr-17 11:06:17

I generally find it unreasonable when people now their lawns at any time because it is horrible and noisy. However I have been forced to realise that the world sadly doesn't revolve around me (at least not until I become queen of the world) so as long as it's not before 9am or after 8.30pm then it's probably not unreasonable.

poppy1973 Sun 16-Apr-17 11:06:19

Well, I am going to ask my dh to mow the lawn later on this afternoon. It's a good time to get jobs done like this when very little is open.

DH has mown the lawn, jet washed the patio and the dog's outside fighting loudly with what looks like a flip flop. It's entirely U to expect silence after 9am on a Sunday.
