Flabbergasted by prices for football on TV- AIBU

Apologies for dullness.

DS is dying to watch premiership football on TV. Neither DH nor I are football fans so we've never had a sports package but I thought I would look into it- at the mo we have Virgin TV via cable, medium package.

From what I can tell, it's about £100/month just to add on football to our existing package. Does that sound right? I thought it was going to be about a tenner, sob.

I have been on hold to the TV co for about 10 mins and given up but will call them back tomorrow. Just wondered what other people pay?

That sounds ridiculous! You can get a Now TV pass for Sky Sports for 34 quid a month. They also do weekly passes so you could just have it occasionally to save some cash.
