Wibu to post about my place of work on this fb page?

I have a disabled DS. He has sensory/food issues, a SN wheelchair and is doubly incontinent so needs to be changed on a mat on the floor as he is too big for baby change tables, etc. Because of this I am always on the look out places that may suitable his needs.

My place of work is fairly new and has not had a lot of advertising. Its a little bit out of the way so not too many people know about it yet. It has been built from stratch so is inadvertently actually quite well designed for people with similar issues in that it has really well designed toilet facilities, lots of space to manoeuvre, ramps, things like that. There are also great parking facilities that mean getting a parking space or a wheelchair out of a car would be much easier.

I am a member of a support group on FB for parents with disabled children and I was thinking of putting a post on the page to let the other parents know that this place and its facilities are available. I've asked the owners and they are happy for me to do this but I'm a bit worried now that it might come across in bad taste, like we're begging for business or trying to be pushy which obviously I don't want at all. Wibu to post about it?

No harm in advertising. FB is the best place tbh

If the owners are happy and you are up front about your connection to the business then I don't see why not?

Just phrase it as you have here.

Don't say you work there just post it as a great place for facilties etc. No one needs to know (and it makes no difference really) that you work there.

Definitely yanbu

Sounds like somewhere people on the fb group would benefit from being made aware of, as another option that has appropriate facilities.

What you are saying is a fact - it IS a good place for anyone needing good wheelchair access, toilet/changing facilities etc. If your workplace is happy with you saying so on social media, I can't see why you shouldn't do it. You aren't begging for business or being pushy, you are telling it like it is and am sure other people will be glad to know of somewhere that would be a good place to visit.

Very good of your employer. And really good for all of us needing better toileting facilities. They are in short supply sadly

I suppose I'm just cautious as it doesn't have a hoist or things like that as it's not specifically set up for disabilities so obviously won't suit everyone and I don't want anyone being upset if it isn't suitable for them if you see what I mean! But I would really like to promote it as it is really helpful knowing there is somewhere suitable you can go.

I think that's fine. You can just say up front "I work here, just so you know, here is the list of facilities. They don't have X Y or Z."
