To feel like the biggest slag in the world?

Before I met DH I put it about a bit to the tune of 50+ sexual partners. When I go into my local town I often see past conquests.

Today I am at a holiday park 60+ miles away and see someone I shagged 10 ish years ago.

AIBU to feel like the biggest slag in the world? FYI I am female.

Don't be daft! You've not been unfaithful to him, have you?

StealthPolarBear Sun 09-Apr-17 22:10:15

Yes yabu
(I say that as someone with few sexual partners)
What does it bother you?
It doesn't define you

shouldbeashamed Sun 09-Apr-17 22:12:39

No never have been and never would be I adore DH totally devoted to him

OfaFrenchmind2 Sun 09-Apr-17 22:13:10

Welll he should be glad that after all this testing you chose him, no? grin
Don't demean yourself OP, everybody has a past, and that is perfectly normal. As long as you were not hurt or forced during you previous relationships, there is nothing to be concerned about.

Doobigetta Sun 09-Apr-17 22:13:16

That's a horrible word, don't use it. It shouldn't exist in the 21st century.

TheStoic Sun 09-Apr-17 22:13:52

Do you think he would feel ashamed of himself, if he'd seen you?

treaclesoda Sun 09-Apr-17 22:14:41

It's in the past and can't be undone, even a if you wanted it to be. I bet if you were a man you wouldn't give it a second thought. Think no more of it.

PortiaCastis Sun 09-Apr-17 22:15:18

No you're allowed sexual partners just as men are

shouldbeashamed Sun 09-Apr-17 22:15:56

He did see me. We were sat 4 feet away. AWKS.

TheStoic Sun 09-Apr-17 22:16:56

And do you think he felt ashamed?

FuckyNell Sun 09-Apr-17 22:17:24

Slag is a horrible word.

You just had sex and there's nothing wrong with that

FABpMummy Sun 09-Apr-17 22:17:35

But it would have been awkward if you'd only had 3 past sexual partners. Don't criticise yourself for this.

shouldbeashamed Sun 09-Apr-17 22:18:07

Probably not. But it's different for men. There's a stigma attached to w

shouldbeashamed Sun 09-Apr-17 22:18:21

Women

TheStoic Sun 09-Apr-17 22:18:50

Why are you buying in to it?

Avioleta Sun 09-Apr-17 22:19:49

Slag is a horrible word to use about yourself.

You unexpectedly saw an old sexual partner. And? What's the issue?

LoveMyLittleSuperhero Sun 09-Apr-17 22:20:43

YABU, you are an adult, you are allowed a history. I don't know why society thinks it's ok to tell men having sex is good (stud) and women that it's bad (slut) but it's a load of bollocks IMHO. Hold your head up and move on, lifes too short

ThePinkOcelot Sun 09-Apr-17 22:20:51

How did you feel about it at the time? Why do you think you feel like that now?

haveacupoftea Sun 09-Apr-17 22:21:16

Fuck it, who cares? You didn't hurt anyone, you didn't commit a crime. You can't undo it now either so try to make peace with yourself.

Pollydonia Sun 09-Apr-17 22:21:54

Yabu and very hard on yourself.
Be kind to yourself.flowers

LostMyDotBrain Sun 09-Apr-17 22:24:00

I've been around the block and I'm not the slightest bit ashamed by it OP. I've held my head high when I've come across previous sexual partners. There really is no reason not to.

And to reinforce what other posters have said, it's horribly sexist to be using the term 'slag' because of your number of sexual partners.

AlternativeTentacle Sun 09-Apr-17 22:24:17

I went to a gig a few weeks back and there were 4 of my exes there. No shame at all.

AdoraBell Sun 09-Apr-17 22:24:42

YABU you did nothing wrong. Give yourself a break.

shouldbeashamed Sun 09-Apr-17 22:24:45

Don't know how I felt really I was pissed confused
