Nope. Not normal. Not unless the caravan is at the end of a very long drive that takes seven minutes to walk up, leaving one minute to grab the stuff.

YANBU. DH went to hang some curtains last weekend, literally just needed to thread them on the pole, no hooks, no threads to pull, nothing complicated. I went to investigate 2 hours later and he was tidying out his tool cupboard, apparently absolutely vital before he attempted any curtain wizardry fuckery. When asked what bloody tools he needed to hang some curtains he got very cross and had to recover in the shed for another hour

Ah yes I have a faffer OH too. Everyone told me when I was pregnant that once the baby came it would take me ages to leave the house. Ha! Already did!

The caravan is four or five steps from the front door. He also came upstairs after 7-8 minutes holding the pillows asking where the cider was.

What does he do that constitutes faffing? I'm always interested in what fafffers actually do? I think my son is a fatter but i watch him and I can't pinpoint what he does that makes him so slow other than he is just painfully slow!

Oh god. I hate the faffing. In fact, I can't bare anyone taking longer to do things than is necessary. Obviously, there are exceptions to this. But generally speaking, it frustrates me so much.

Zilphas there are crucial differences between slowness and faffing. A faffer will inevitably need to complete eleventy billion entirely pointless tasks before they get to the actual task in hand. They may also go through a period of ineptitude and need to be reminded to focus on the simple task they are supposed to be doing. Sadly, a faffer seems to be a relatively common beast
