To get 2 pillows and 4 cans of cider out of the caravan on the drive. He thinks this is normal.

AIBU to think it's not?

User7654 Fri 07-Apr-17 22:21:48

YANBU. Is he a faffer op?

ProudBadMum Fri 07-Apr-17 22:21:54

Did he get them out one by one and have a cig in between? grin

alpacawhacker Fri 07-Apr-17 22:22:30

How long is your drive?!

Mummysh0rtlegs Fri 07-Apr-17 22:22:36

Was he getting them out through a small window?

Areyoufree Fri 07-Apr-17 22:22:53

Is it your caravan...?

WutheringFrights Fri 07-Apr-17 22:23:58

My DH is a faffer of epic proportions, it used to make me so angry but I'm learning to accept it ... So far it's taken 11 years...

Guiltypleasures001 Fri 07-Apr-17 22:24:20

Did he press the apples and brew the cider himself?

WorraLiberty Fri 07-Apr-17 22:24:22

Are you sure there wasn't 5 cans and now there's 4? grin

zigzagbetty Fri 07-Apr-17 22:24:26

I think we need a diagram of the drive/caravan/house ratio 😊

SailAwaySailAwaySailAway Fri 07-Apr-17 22:27:00

Did he pop in the van for a crafty wank?

RiversrunWoodville Fri 07-Apr-17 22:27:50

Are you married to my DH?? (If so you can keep him if I can occasionally use the caravan grin)

BeeFarseer Fri 07-Apr-17 22:28:23

Nope. Not normal. Not unless the caravan is at the end of a very long drive that takes seven minutes to walk up, leaving one minute to grab the stuff.

daisygirlmac Fri 07-Apr-17 22:29:02

YANBU. DH went to hang some curtains last weekend, literally just needed to thread them on the pole, no hooks, no threads to pull, nothing complicated. I went to investigate 2 hours later and he was tidying out his tool cupboard, apparently absolutely vital before he attempted any curtain wizardry fuckery. When asked what bloody tools he needed to hang some curtains he got very cross and had to recover in the shed for another hour hmm

BMacklin Fri 07-Apr-17 22:29:02

Ah yes I have a faffer OH too. Everyone told me when I was pregnant that once the baby came it would take me ages to leave the house. Ha! Already did!

manasaw Fri 07-Apr-17 22:31:30

The caravan is four or five steps from the front door. He also came upstairs after 7-8 minutes holding the pillows asking where the cider was.

Maybe he sulked for a bit grin

manasaw Fri 07-Apr-17 22:34:17

Yes he is a faffer but is the worst type.

1. Doesn't believe he is faffing, thinks it's all entirely crucial.

2. Faffs mid-faff.

3. Once faff is over incredibly sometimes hasn't even done what set out to do and says will do it tomorrow as too much time faffing.

Huldra Fri 07-Apr-17 22:35:11

To take into your house, or you're at a site and wanted them outside? Yes, the pillow as well as the cider. It's a long time either way but I need to know.
Its a Friday before Easter Hols, you must have arrived this evening? Or you're leaving to go away this weekend and have just remembered the cans of cider and want to wash pillow?

user1487372252 Fri 07-Apr-17 22:35:53

Maybe he did faff. Sounds like he probably did. What were you doing? Sitting timing him? Was that the best use of your time?

Happyinthehills Fri 07-Apr-17 22:36:39

There will have been a lot of unlocking and locking, that always throws mine - he has to find the keys again and again.

QuirstThenching Fri 07-Apr-17 22:37:34

"Faffs mid-faff" is the phrase I've been looking for my whole marriage grin

NorksAreMessy Fri 07-Apr-17 22:39:43

Sigh! user how? How! HOW? Have you managed to make this OP's fault?

ZilphasHatpin Fri 07-Apr-17 22:40:30

What does he do that constitutes faffing? I'm always interested in what fafffers actually do? I think my son is a fatter but i watch him and I can't pinpoint what he does that makes him so slow other than he is just painfully slow! grin

DonaldStott Fri 07-Apr-17 22:41:13

Oh god. I hate the faffing. In fact, I can't bare anyone taking longer to do things than is necessary. Obviously, there are exceptions to this. But generally speaking, it frustrates me so much.

DonaldStott Fri 07-Apr-17 22:42:40

There's always one fgs.
