aibu about Bing?

Does anyone else think Bing is supposed to have special needs? His behavior seems "younger" than his peers. Aibu? Reading too much into it? In need of a life?!

Oh, I just thought it was badly observed. Maybe....

I just thought maybe he was? The carers seem to treat him slightly differently, more patient and explain things more clearly and slowly. Maybe its teaching kids that some people are "different" to them

I don't think he's meant to have SN. I think he's just an annoying little twat made worse by flop being an over indulgent parent who's storing up trouble by making out everything bing does wrong is just a 'bing thing'. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

I've wondered this, Bing does seem different to the other children. I also thought this about Slowcoach from Wanda and the Alien, he has wonky ears and is a different colour to all his siblings, has a different way of speaking and as the name suggests is very slow. DP disagrees that he is meant to be SN but does think it serves to teach children about respecting differences in ability.

I agree with Laiste.
Everyone in Bing is annoying. but not as bad as Topsy and Tim

I think Pando seems slower and I wondered if he had special needs, but then noticed that he's much more able/brave physically than Bing. I think it's just to show that all children have different strengths and weaknesses.

Pando keeps taking his trousers off!! He's also very energetic! And what the hells a Clumbo!!? It is very annoying. I always thought flop was a minder?! To me Bing always seems over sensitive to things

I can't stand Bing. He's so whiney! He seems to have no patience when things go wrong. And I agree with PP that flop totally enables this behaviour! Aaahhhhhhhhh!

WHY does Pando whip his shorts off the second they get to the park? What is this teaching children?! And why does it bother me SO MUCH??

Whatever Flop is taking to make him so fucking zen the whole time, all through Bing's latest whiny ineptitude, I want some.

Abney and Teal creep me out as well. That bastard dog plays the exact same bastard tune on his cunting accordian EVERY TIME and the voiceover man says something feeble minded like, "Toby Dog played a finding sticks song", when it's the SAME SONG!!

Ahem. Think I might need a little lie down and a spoon of perspective...

I also thought Bing had SN. However remember it was a book before it was brought to tv so perhaps its just the fact it seems strange when done in tv format.

I was a Topsy and Tim fan as a child and still love it but not the mum. Not since watching her in Eastenders. Its weird.

Bing isn't watched in our house. Can't stand it.

Tweenies also banned. When that's on it sounds like a lounge full of whiny toddlers and I noticed when mine started watching it they started being whiny! So It's banned. Whining has ceased .

Me too eclectic. And i agree, Bing is useless.

then remembers the horror that is endless YouTube videos.

Bing is the youngest of all his friends. In the episode where they do the show in the park, they go in age order and he is the finale because he is the youngest. I love the rainbow song.

Another Bing hater here. He is unspeakably whiny and has absolutely zero resilience.

I've got a lot of time for CBeebies in general though. From what I can work out most of its programming seems to be geared at persuading toddlers to be slightly less of a bastard.

Don't get me started on waybuloo. Cheebies and nok tok and all that malarkey. Infuriates me! I've only turned the tv on so Katie can show me how to cook Grin 1 minute too early and I'm subjected to total nonsense!

It does make me laugh when there is comments about Cbeebies. I thought it was for the occasional entertainment for toddlers (actually it's on now as we speak) but I know waaaaay more about Postman Pat than I should for a woman of my age. I can Swashbuckle with the best of them, sing the hand washing song from " I can cook", and I have an encyclopedic knowledge of Balamory (second time with kids tv for me as I look after my grandson a lot.
However, what in the name of all that's holy is the language in Wabaloo? And, and, and why does Pando take his shorts off every five minutes? We have to stand in front the tv at the start of Bing and when he takes his shorts we shout at Pando to put them back on. I was on the phone to the insurance company today when that came in the tv, toddler dragged me over to shout at Pando, God knows what the insurance lady thought!
