Job interview at a holiday/hotel/B&B place (trying not to identify myself)

Owner is showing me around and explaining how to clean the rooms, systems etc

Gets to the bedding and says "if the occupant has only stayed one night we don't change the bedding, just smooth it out and iron". I.e. The next guest gets the same fucking bedding Envy

That's grim right? And they have FIVE STARS

That's grim. Are you sure she doesn't mean they don't change the bedding for the same guest staying more than one night? As opposed to not changing between guests. That's fucking rank.

I KNEW IT

I was looking at her waiting for her to say "not really" or she was trying to catch me out.

Nope. Deadly serious.

I used to chambermaid in a hotel, and during my time there a couple of staff were caught doing this, but it wasn't something we were asked to do and they got into big trouble!

I've worked in 5 different hotels and beds are always changed when guests depart. That is gross.

I have often suspected this Sad but have to try not to think about it too hard.

Yes, they must mean 'if a guest is one night into a multiple night stay, we don't change it on the first night'.

Otherwise, they could have a run of twenty people each having a one night stay in the same sheets!

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 03/04/2017 15:49

What if you have a few nights in a row of 1 night only guests? You could have been sleeping in the same sheets as the 3 previous hotel guests 🤢

There is a hotel near me that does this so not sure why I'm surprised.
One of the guests woke up with a plaster stuck to them (that they didn't have on them when they went to bed 🤢)
