To think I'm not a 'greedy pig' for eating this?

Been running about all day at work. I had an apple for breakfast and a small sandwich for lunch (at about 12!). Just got in and made myself a couple of toasties- two slices of milk roll and a small amount of cheese so in total I had four slices of milk roll and maybe a handful of grated cheese.

I'd just sat down to eat when my neighbour popped in to drop of a package for me. She saw what I was eating and said 'Oh I'd feel like a greedy pig if I ate that much.' The way she said it made it clear she wasn't talking about herself but was judging me.

I've had my issues with food in the past and now I'm wondering- am I a greedy pig? I've had a long, stressful day and I just wanted something quick to eat before I keeled over!

Am I being unreasonable what what I've had for tea or is she just a goady fucker?!

Nope your neighbour is just a dick.

Eat your toasties and don't give her a second thought.

Crankycunt · 30/03/2017 20:17

She's a goady fucker. How rude. Enjoy your toasties.

You're not eating enough to sustain a small lazy mouse.

You must know this?

Neighbours and mils are sent to judge us. Tell her to get lost, and mean it.

ArriettyClock1 · 30/03/2017 20:19

I had to google milk roll - never heard of it.

Your neighbour is rude - enjoy your supper and forget about it.

yellowfrog · 30/03/2017 20:19

She's a goady cow!! Sounds like a perfectly normal snack to me!

ShowMePotatoSalad · 30/03/2017 20:19

God I hate that phrase "greedy pig". It's horrible. A dinner lady once called me a greedy pig because I asked for an extra sausage. I was only about 7 but she said it so loudly, in front of everyone, and I felt so humiliated.

Your neighbour was very rude and unkind. Milk roll slices are tiny anyway.

IndianaMoleWoman · 30/03/2017 20:20

You are not a greedy pig. If we're going farmyard, your neighbour is a nosey cow.

RhiWrites · 30/03/2017 20:20

Oh dear how sad for her.

Next time add some coleslaw on the side for extra deliciousness.

KinkyAfro · 30/03/2017 20:20

Fuck me, good job she didn't come here, I've just destroyed 2 tiger rolls with roast chicken, a bag of Doritos and I'm now munching thru some peanut m&m's 🐷

ChishandFips33 · 30/03/2017 20:21

I always have 4 slices of bread for toasties! and a packet of crisps

I still class it as a snack rather than a proper meal

Ignore your neighbour. Given his little you've eaten all day and the amount of energy expended you are not being greedy!!

ChishandFips33 · 30/03/2017 20:22

In hindsight I think she said it so you'd offer her half!

LouKout · 30/03/2017 20:22

Neighbour is either rude or had a taxtless moment. Worry not

Iloveanimals · 30/03/2017 20:25

That's just plain rude! Eat what you want and no you are not a greedy 🐷

Fitzsimmons · 30/03/2017 20:26

Your neighbour would be horrified about what I have eaten today. Let's just say I've had a bad day and have probably consumed about 3000 calories Blush

Alconleigh · 30/03/2017 20:28

There is nothing more tedious than women - and it is women largely - who bang on about calories, 'naughty' food and police the diet of others. To misquote the immortal Some Like it Hot, they've got an empty stomach and it's gone to their head......

sniffle12 · 30/03/2017 20:28

I told the give blood people I'd had cheese on toast for lunch once and they were horrified I'd 'only' eaten that and made me eat a biscuit!

Besides, even if she has a different lifestyle and that's a big meal for her, why would she say that out loud to a neighbour?! Just sounds rude.

Miniwookie · 30/03/2017 20:30

How rude! So she interrupted your tea and then insulted you. What did you say? YANBU by having whatever the fuck you want for tea.

Gabilan · 30/03/2017 20:30

Your neighbour would have a fit if she saw what I can do to a box of After Eights.

I hate people commenting on what I eat. I'm a healthy weight and even if I weren't, it's still really none of their business.

MaidenMotherCrone · 30/03/2017 20:30

Milkroll slices are tiny Op. I always think of it as toddler bread. Ignore her, If you feel full then that's fine, if not you should have something else too.

ImportSave · 30/03/2017 20:30

I've eaten my toasties and then decided, fuck it, I'm going to have some chocolate too. I got one of those huge bars of Dairy Milk for my birthday from work and it's been in the car since (was only a few days ago!) so I've just been out to get it. Neighbour was on the path so I waved it in her face on the way past. If she wants to think I'm a greedy pig, I'm going to do it properly. ;) :)

Nothing wrong with what you ate (how rude of your neighbour!)
Don't eat because you are stressed though. Eat because you are hungry.
Sorry to sound preachy.

Fruitcocktail6 · 30/03/2017 20:33

She'd be in for a shock if she popped into my house.

I'm off to google milk roll though, I'm intrigued

FrizzBombDelight · 30/03/2017 20:34

Another one here that had to Google milk roll!
