Dad was unreasonable. If everyone helped themselves to the daffs there'd be none left for the rest of us to enjoy looking at. They only cost about a quid don't they?

the dad is in the wrong. Too cheap to go the the supermarket and buy them.

I agree with police on this one.

Dad. It's theft. End of.

The police officer was correct. You can't take what you want from civic floral displays any more than you can help yourself to office equipment from council buildings.

I agree he is encouraging his dds that its OK to take from public property not only that but there was no need to film her the way he did im not surprised she took the flowers off them.

The dad- initially for letting them pick the flowers and even more so for filming it- how would you like to be filmed in a confrontation at your work?

"A bunch of 27 flowers were taken to a nearby care home so they did not go to waste."

They wouldn't of gone to waste if she had let the children keep them Hmm

Haven't clicked on link but I'm saying dad. Cheapskate. Why not just buy flowers? As above, if we all picked them there'd be none left.

Dad is definitely in the wrong. Just buy some bloody flowers.

I'm with the police on this. The daffs are there to brighten the verges up, not be picked by anyone too cheap to pay £1 for a bunch.

Dad. They wouldn't have gone to waste if he hadn't allowed hisDC to take them.

Dad is unreasonable, even more so for going to the papers. Anyone in their right mind would've been mortified rather than going crying to the press.

Report
Sn0tnose · 27/03/2017 17:43

Totally the dad.

I believe he was talking about how it was the police officer's fault that the children had been made to feel like they'd done something wrong. Absolutely no understanding that it was him who was responsible for that.

The dad is bu!! It really pisses me off when people pick public flowers
A friends of mine dd did this and a man in the park told my friend that she shouldn't allow her dd to do this and she's "just a little girl wanting to enjoy the flowers" yeah your little girl picks all the flowers and then my little girl comes along and there is none let Angry

The dad is a complete bellend. It cost £1 for a bunch of daffodils in M&S. And it doesn't matter what his rhyme or reason was everyone knows you don't pick the flowers, they are for us all to enjoy. And it wasn't as if they picked 1 each, a blooming bunch!
And then to video the police woman! I can just imagine his sneery goading voice to her...I'd have found a very suitable place to shove the daffs-in his gob!

I think they were taken off them because of his attitude towards her, he showed her no respect as a police officer or for the public display. When he started filming it was embarrassing especially recording his children
