Why do you feel she should be entitled to a discount? It's only Nando's, plenty of other places to choose

My mum has a nhs card that she gets a discount with. Anyone in the family got one?
Also I wonder if you can separate orders to yield maximum chillis on your Nando's card?

Going before a certain time on a week day quite often means you get more offers in places.
Bella Italian are doing vouchers at the moment as are a lot of places.
Maybe the entitled teenager should take less friends?

20% off if you have a valid NHS work pass but other than that I don't know ...,

Nandos don't need to offer discounts and vouchers like other places as people will go anyway.

I think your best bet is to
A) scour the menu for the best value platters and present them as a fait accompli to all the DC except the vegetarians rather than letting them choose what they want
B) register for a Nando's reward card and cannily split your order to maximise your stamps - that way it'll still cost you a packet today but at least you'll get a free meal for yourself out of it next time

Maybe you should have considered this when you agreed

If your child is entitled isn't that because you've made her that way? And the more you give into her demands surely the more entitled she'll become? If I couldn't afford a Nandos party I would just tell her that and tell her what she could choose from.

I don't think £100 is bad for a kid's party. But I'm still in the period of spending £200 at least in soft play hell.

I think the OP's aside is lighthearted. I'm assuming that he can afford a hundred quid but also thinks it's quite a lot of money and would like to get a discount if possible - loads of popular chain restaurants do discounts so it's not an unreasonable expectation. It's also perfectly reasonable for a teenager to want to go somewhere "cool" for their birthday.

YABU.

Nando's is nothing like KFC apart from the fact that they both serve chicken.

You can only use your Nando's card once a day so splitting orders to get chillis wouldn't work

If they are teenagers surely the kids would pay for themselves. DD went to a friends Birthday dinner at Nandos and I gave her the money to pay for her own meal. I would not expect the birthday child's parent to pay for 10 teenagers meals. Though I am not sure the parents were there, I think it was just the kids.

We get 25% off because DH, and now DS1, are in the armed forces.

£100 is good for a birthday party. We paid that 15 years ago.
