Being sold in Iceland!

user1489179512 Fri 24-Mar-17 20:05:47

What a flaming joke.

Gabilan Fri 24-Mar-17 20:06:28

Oh dear. It's not even proofreading really. It's just someone having a basic grasp of grammar. Or not.

Bluntness100 Fri 24-Mar-17 20:06:35

Oops,,,😂

SmilingButClueless Fri 24-Mar-17 20:06:58

Iceland clearly has aspirations to be a greengrocer's winkhalo

YesItsMeIDontCare Fri 24-Mar-17 20:07:06

Are they selling lot's of card's in all the shop's?

<runs>

terrylene Fri 24-Mar-17 20:08:17

I was thinking that it was ok seeing as English is not their language...............

Willwe Fri 24-Mar-17 20:08:52

This is why Iceland's shouldn't sell card's. wink

ChickenVindaloo2 Fri 24-Mar-17 20:09:41

It was £1 so I bought it and will see how long it takes my mum to notice when I give her it!

Gabilan Fri 24-Mar-17 20:11:09

My mum's an English teacher. She'd notice before she opened the envelope.

Glossolalia Fri 24-Mar-17 20:13:36

It's not even a nice card. confused

ChickenVindaloo2 Fri 24-Mar-17 20:14:19

Yes, for the avoidance of doubt, this abomination is being sold in Iceland the shop. Not Iceland the country. Probably wouldn't get past the airport prohibitions against bringing in obscene material.

Bottlesoflove Fri 24-Mar-17 20:15:36

I need to get one for my mum. We share a love of pedantry...

badabeedabom Fri 24-Mar-17 20:15:56

I was thinking that it was ok seeing as English is not their language...............

Me too grin

Moanyoldcow Fri 24-Mar-17 20:16:07

I actually vommed a bit in my mouth reading that...

frazzled3ds Fri 24-Mar-17 20:16:37

I found this in Tesco - tweeted them with it and they replied to say they'll be correcting it on the next run ;)

ArchNotImpudent Fri 24-Mar-17 20:17:08

No wonder the third bear looks a bit pissed off.

ChickenVindaloo2 Fri 24-Mar-17 20:17:12

Lol, sales will skyrocket and Iceland won't know why!

The card will be a collector's item and only available on ebay for £hundreds!

ChickenVindaloo2 Fri 24-Mar-17 20:17:29

Oh God, Tesco!

isthistoonosy Fri 24-Mar-17 20:18:36

I was also about to say, stop being mean it's not their first language after all

Feelingworriednow Fri 24-Mar-17 20:19:13

And no full stop either.

TotalPineapple Fri 24-Mar-17 20:19:45

That is truly awful.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER Fri 24-Mar-17 20:22:54

Saw one similar a year or two ago - 'If Mum's were flowers, I'd pick you.'

Proofreeders are not wot they used to be...

Andrewofgg Fri 24-Mar-17 20:23:54

I got a business card recently which included the word "proffessional". It did nothing for my confidence in the bearer.

SukeyTakeItOffAgain Fri 24-Mar-17 20:24:11

I was genuinely confused about why the card wasn't in Icelandic.

But yes, YANBU. How hard can it be?
