Where are the condolence messages from the Royal Family?

It's exactly this situation that we need the Royal Family to make a statement. I've looked, but I can't find any messages of condolence from them. The only reference I can find is when The Queen sent a message to the Head of the London Met saying that she wasn't turning up today. And then she eventually says "Sorry to hear about the attacks." - or similar.

Where is the message to those other people who died? Nothing from Charles, or William or anyone else.

I used to be a staunch Royalist but I've changed my mind now. If the Royal Family can't even send out some tweets saying "Condolences to the families of those who died or were injured" then what the bloody hell are they here for?

Am happy to BU and for someone to prove me wrong.

If you really think the Queen tweeting "One is so sorry about it all" is even vaguely important to any of this, I despair.

I read something the Queen had said about it today, something like "our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families affected by the awful violence" but you know, properly written blush

I think Prince Harry has posted something on his FB page. Not a statement but a "we stand with London 22/3/17" image.

I haven't heard anything else. Yes, I would have expected the Queen of country to have made a statement. Apologies if she has and I missed it.

Queen Elizabeth has sent her condolences to those affected by the attack on the British parliament conducted by a lone assailant who killed three people and injured 40.

"My thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with all those who have been affected by yesterday's awful violence," she said in a statement.

I heard the Queen's message on the radio at about 10am this morning. Not you have radio where you live, OP?

Spadequeen Thu 23-Mar-17 21:16:01

NoCapes Thu 23-Mar-17 21:17:07

Ah I was just about to post a link but never mind

I'm surprised you think the Royal Family wouldn't say anything about a terror attack in London though OP confused

The Queen should send her condolences to the families first, which she did.

I heard a message from the queen this morning..it was on bbc news.

ToastDemon Thu 23-Mar-17 21:23:23

You want the Royal Family to tweet?
They aren't Trump ffs.

DixieNormas Thu 23-Mar-17 21:24:28

I've not heard anything from the royal family because most of what I've seen has been on here, twitter and a bit of bbc news.

I would certainly have done a bit of googling before posting a thread like this as I will admit myself that I haven't followed it enough on the news/papers etc to have any clue if they have said anything or not.

Maybe try it next time op

Take your pick from that lot ^smile

Catherine was also giving a speech today and started with condolences.

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing Thu 23-Mar-17 21:27:30

Such tragic subject to be a GF about- if this is an anti Royalist poke. Surely in less time than logging on and posting a thread you'd have got the info from Google?

user1490123259 Thu 23-Mar-17 21:28:58

It's exactly this situation that we need the Royal Family to make a statement

no we don't.

Why would that even cross your mind?

Why would we need a statement?

What possible difference would it make to anyone?

I just don't get it.

jcne Thu 23-Mar-17 21:30:31

The royal family are irrelevant and of no help to anyone in the pre-apocalypse world
