Saw this advert in a Cosmopolitan magazine today at the hairdressers!

JohnLapsleyParlabane Thu 23-Mar-17 20:26:08

35 quid?!?

MycatsaPirate Thu 23-Mar-17 20:27:55

Why the fuck do you need to oil your pubes??

TiredyMcTired Thu 23-Mar-17 20:28:12

I saw this mentioned recently in an interview with Emma Watson. Not shocked by it to be honest, bloody good idea actually

Dontactlikeyouknowme Thu 23-Mar-17 20:29:05

Hahaha . Wonder if it makes your hair curl if you use it on your head.

belu1 Thu 23-Mar-17 20:29:36

Why is it a good idea, Tierdy?

SilverdaleGlen Thu 23-Mar-17 20:30:17

How how is it a bloody good idea confused

Dontactlikeyouknowme Thu 23-Mar-17 20:30:35

Just use some pantene.

Mamagin Thu 23-Mar-17 20:32:34

From reading Mumsnet I thought nobody had pubic hair any more.

MycatsaPirate Thu 23-Mar-17 20:33:20

Mamagin I do. Mine is in a french plait today grin

Emphasise Thu 23-Mar-17 20:34:25

Fur? Does this mean hair like an adult is "normal" again? I suspect this isn't really aimed at people who only shave their legs for special occasions

nancy75 Thu 23-Mar-17 20:34:26

I can hardly be bothered to do the hair on my head, the rest of my hair has no bloody chance!

contractor6 Thu 23-Mar-17 20:36:17

£35! The stuff I use on my head isn't that expensive

MarklahMarklah Thu 23-Mar-17 20:37:35

Nancy you and me both. I occasionally trim my pubes, if they start tickling my knees too much.

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea Thu 23-Mar-17 20:41:42

Why is it a good idea?
I can't imagine.

TheUpsideDown Thu 23-Mar-17 20:45:42

I too read Emma Watson was raving about pube oil... another ludicrous celeb fad, like fanjo steamers!

squoosh Thu 23-Mar-17 20:46:04

Well lots of men use beard oil on their hipster beards so I presume this is a similar product.

I'm decidedly unshocked.

picklemepopcorn Thu 23-Mar-17 20:46:51

But but but... I'm glad to hear having hair is 'OK' again not that I ever cared except in principle but why does it need oiling, for goodness sake?
Do we creak when we walk? Have my friends failed to tell me?

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea Thu 23-Mar-17 20:46:58

But why do beards or fanjos need oil?

Nospringflower Thu 23-Mar-17 20:47:47

I have just read more about it and it looks like it has been around for a while.

Reason for being shocked - £35 and also just because noone sees it!

Stormwhale Thu 23-Mar-17 20:48:42

Wouldn't you end up with oil stains on your trousers? That would not be a good look. They can keep their pube oil ta very much.

WaegukSaram Thu 23-Mar-17 20:49:16

It's a good idea because if you're ever in an accident, your pubes will look in shiny, healthy condition for the doctor.

DJBaggySmalls Thu 23-Mar-17 20:49:18

£35 for oily pants.

PollyBanana Thu 23-Mar-17 20:50:10

Dab of conditioner on mine for gloss and bounce!

AliceByTheMoon Thu 23-Mar-17 20:51:09

Okay- assuming any of us actually WANT to use pube oil- won't good old argan oil (£10 at your friendly local waitrose) do instead?
