I'm struggling to describe to dh how being in the same room as this film feels like a constant aural assault. Is this just me?

FriedPisces Thu 23-Mar-17 12:13:10

Definitely not just you. One of the worst films I've ever sat through. grin

KoalaDownUnder Thu 23-Mar-17 12:18:16

Oh. I loved Sing. And I bloody hate 99% of kids' movies!! grin

MrsPringles Thu 23-Mar-17 12:19:41

It was crap. DS wasn't impressed either.

DreamingofItaly Thu 23-Mar-17 12:20:53

I loved it! Probably because I took my five year old niece who danced in the aisles she loved it so much.

MsGameandWatch Thu 23-Mar-17 12:21:02

Alvin and the crapmunks is like that for me. Those movies literally cause me pain to watch or hear.

AliciaMayEmory Thu 23-Mar-17 12:23:24

I loved Sing! We have the soundtrack on at home for a dance about in the evenings. DC love the Stevie Wonder/Ariana Grande song at the end.

BarbarianMum Thu 23-Mar-17 12:25:27

It was crap and I loved it - a rare combination. grin

Sidge Thu 23-Mar-17 12:30:20

I really liked it!

DD liked it more though.

Mrsbadger77 Thu 23-Mar-17 12:34:16

It was rubbish and now my 4 year keep saying " oh my god look at her butt" 😔

MaroonPencil Thu 23-Mar-17 12:35:18

I liked it!

Yukbuck Thu 23-Mar-17 12:55:12

I thought it was fantastic!! Loved it!

ScarlettFreestone Thu 23-Mar-17 12:56:04

Aww, you big meanie. We loved it!

TawnyPippit Thu 23-Mar-17 12:57:16

I watched it at a cinema which allows you to drink wine during the film. I found it helped...

luckylucky24 Thu 23-Mar-17 13:00:48

It really is rubbish. DS said he liked it but hasn't mentioned it since.

thethoughtfox Thu 23-Mar-17 13:03:01

Badger, mine is doing that too!

wigglesrock Thu 23-Mar-17 13:03:24

I enjoyed it and like KoalaDownUnder kids and in particular animated films are the bane of my life. My 6 year old has developed a massive crush on Johnny - I'm just letting it slide grin I could however live without her repeated warbling of I'm still standing.

squoosh Thu 23-Mar-17 13:09:07

I thought you were talking about Sing Street and was baffled as to how anyone could dislike that film!

But I've googled Sing and just watched the trailer, it looks shit. Gimme Zootopia over this.

EdmundCleverClogs Thu 23-Mar-17 13:11:40

It looked fairly good to me, but my child is too young to be taken to see it.

Now Frozen. Oh my goodness what a load of tripe. I'm still trying to figure out what the hype was all about. Crap story, crap characters (was I the only one hoping 'kooky' Anna would stay frozen forever, urgh), and really crap songs. And it made an ever more crap storyline in Once Upon A Time.

ButtercupChain Thu 23-Mar-17 13:15:49

Good music and singing/lame plotline and characters. Just about scrapes to a 4 out of 10.

Faceicle Thu 23-Mar-17 13:40:21

Cheers m'dears. It looks like this is just me then - I don't believe it's a bad film per se. I have found it unendurable to be in the same room as the noise, the constant changing yet always reliable noise of the thing. I am cowering in the kitchen until it's over.

foxyloxy78 Sat 25-Mar-17 22:39:57

I really liked it. Moana was better though.

foxyloxy78 Sat 25-Mar-17 22:41:21

Yes the "oh my god, look at her butt" is very unfortunate lol

Floralnomad Sat 25-Mar-17 22:47:42

We loved it , and we are all adult - it's already been pencilled in as the Christmas Eve film on a double bill with one of the Naked Gun trilogy . DH won't like it but that's just hard luck .

FeliciaJollygoodfellow Sat 25-Mar-17 23:20:25

Oh god. Have promised DS3 we'll watch it tomorrow.

Might be worth it for his impressions of the Lady Gaga pig!
