Juncker has said he wants to punish if these Eu countries are our friends why do they want to punish us for leaving. Surely they should want the best for us regardless of whether we left or stayed. Starting to regret the way I voted arghh.

I'm sure of the cost to them were neutral, they'd be happier for us. But it isn't cost neutral, and as much as they can wish us well, they aren't going to do so at detriment to their own security, financial or otherwise.

I don't think you understood the article. The only punishment the UK will get is self inflicted, and when it all turns to shite (which it will, and how!) the other EU countries will be thinking what a very stupid idea it was to leave the EU.

And really when one of your friends turns around to you and says "fuck you, we don't need any of you, we never liked you anyway and we'll be better off alone but making new friends", its kind of past time to care how they get on afterwards.

There will be a lot of wind and piss and grand standing but at the end of the day all the leaders will do what is pragmatic for their economies and no one will be cutting of noses to spite faces.
